I moved to Italy from Canada a few years ago. I lived in Palermo for two years. It’s a beautiful, magical city. It deserves so much more tourism. Thank you for this beautiful video, it made me dream of all the incredible food. Miss it so much. Can’t wait to be back.

tambien al norte hay lugares que merece visitar, sobretodo por la comida… Toscana, Emilia son lo maximo y recuerda, no importa cuanto te pongas a dieta, cuando llegas a Sicilia vas a tomar cinco kilos recien bajas del avion 😅

In Sicily, Ricotta used for making cannoli is usually made with sheep milk, which is different from the usual ricotta you can find anywhere in Italy (made with cow milk). This makes a HUGE difference

Bro sheep milk ricotta is traditional in Rome, Naples and Sardinia too, and yes it tastes much better than the cow milk one

And you haven't tasted the best food yet if you haven't eaten in south Italy, especially in Naples (original pizza, mozzarella, lasagne, ragù, seafood, sfogliatelle, babà and much more)

Took me to another planet. I LOVE it! So expressive. If one has not eaten in Italy, it is difficult to understand. Thank you so much for your channel!

My step-mom's parents are from Enna, they took me and my dad on their family vacation back to Sicily a couple times in the early 1980s, got to see Mt. Etna sort of erupt, it shot sparks out for awhile, pretty cool. I remember the food the most, everywhere we went there was awesome food, lucky I have a high metabolism, I could eat and eat and eat and never gain a lot of weight. Step-Granny Brienza was damn fine cook, so was my Granny Roberts, a baker who did a lot of hearty meat & potatoes type dishes from the UK and Ireland, they taught me so much about cooking that I've become a sort of food snob, can't eat McD or KFC without thinking "I could do it better".

Loved the food, not the usual cuts of meat, looked savory ! Grazie !!

Amazing video. It has made me miss Palermo. I used to visit regularly around 20 years ago. I went last year and I was amazed at how much it had changed. Pedestrianising the centre has changed everything

I visited Palermo for the first time last October and it was amazing. What was it like 20 years ago? Even the locals told me that the centre wasn't like that just 8-10 years ago because of the pedestrian zone.

Grazie per essere passato dalle nostre parti e apprezzo che hai trovato gustoso il panino con la milza: molti turisti danno critiche negative a questo panino ma la colpa è loro... questo è un panino che si mangia appena servito e bello caldo, altrimenti, se freddo, diventa immangiabile... anche per noi palermitani. I guess it depends from area to area.. A couple of things for hopefully a return episode, sfincione, pasta con le sarde e finocchio, and gelato con la brioche.
