    must more baritone and faster rhythm suck as old metalica or type o negative or some but not all black label society whick I would consider on the lower end of metal. however I thing chris cornell is to good of a singer to be considered metal.

    +premo cheba Generally speaking Soundgarden often emphasise that they consider themselves as hard rock or alternative rock. But if you watch the Grammy ceremony at the time when they received their recognition Chris said to the audience "we are a metal band ..." Personally I enjoy the band's music and Chris' voice so much that it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. However many fans do consider them metal, so I leave it at that!

    this is by far their best album from top to bottom.. i began listening to this album when i was 12 years old and i still listen to it to this day, and im not 24 years old.. its an epic experience

    Oh hell yeah! They perfected it here!! The begrudging tone Chris had taken accentuated with the perfect delivery at the end of each line really brought the song out in a brand new light! This take, should've made the album cut.

    Chris has always been an excellent vocalist and part of why SG and AICs appeal to me is their mix of styles into such uniqueness. I hate it when people try to put things in genres and especially subgenres and sub-sub genres.

    To me more like Black Sabbath, highly influenced even, expecially songs like this one, but that's what I love so much, those ultra heavy slow guitar riffs upon those genius non-standard time signatures.
