Chris has one of my absolute favorite voices!! Miss that man more than words can say!

This song will forever be associated in my brain with me renting a VHS movie from a store in '95 and then leaving it on the roof of my car when I drove home - this song was on the radio and for some reason that association just got baked in. They charged me an absolute bloody fortune for that lost tape too, the bastards.

His acoustic cover of "nothing compares 2u" is stunning and definitely something you'd enjoy...

Can confirm that Chris sounded just as phenomenal live as he did in recordings. I’m not sure if you’ve gotten on the Pearl Jam trend, but they’re another band from that same era with another fantastic front man, Eddie Vedder. Eddie and Chris and a couple others also had a side project called Temple of the Dog. Hunger Strike is the most commonly viewed song from that. Eddie and Pearl Jam are also phenomenal live and they are still recording - new album out this summer.

Pearl Jam was the first major act to take on Ticketmaster for their price gouging fees. It was a whole thing in the mid 1990’s!

Chris also has an aucustic version that i think you would like. Thanks for playing my favorite singer of all time. R,I,P, SWEET MUSIC MAN.

What an amazing song by an amazing band and with the incredible voice of Chris Cornell. He really restrained his voice here in Black Hole Sun to be like soft dark velvet to the ears. RIP Chris and all my love to his family.

This video is very similar to a bad trip back when I was in high school. 4-way window pane didn’t like me. But I still look back on it and this video fondly.

Considered Chris’ signature song, and the one everybody performed in tribute after his passing. Partly because most of his songs are too hard to cover and sing. I’ve seen live renditions of other tunes, with singers unable to hit his notes, and they knew it. Video is so crazy/weird I can’t really watch it anymore. And it distracts from the excellent songwriting of Chris’ composition.
