    That Umbrella is something i definitely need, i have an A7IV and it overheated on me just one time since launch day but it was in direct sunlight recording in 4K 60fps on the high temp setting. I kept telling my self, man i wish i could have some shade for this Rig and here you are showing an Umbrella for the camera. 😅👍 there is so much i still dont know sigh..... but glad knowledgeable people like you are kind enough to give us newbies gear tips. Hi Mark! If I could ask here for a little advice in choosing an ND filter for my zv-e10.. I have just started my lens collection and I have Viltrox 23mm f1.4 (which I really like!) - it has 52mm filter thread. I occasionally shoot photos and videos, especially during holidays - so I definitely should have a variable ND filter, following your great recommendation 😄 However, I struggle choosing the variability range! Should I go for 2-400 range, or 8-2000? Or something else entirely..? In short - which variable ND filter would you recommend as the most versatile for all-round enthusiast use? (Sorry for this lengthy question!)

    I'm going to pick up an umbrella! I shot 4K through an entire battery this weekend in direct sunlight in 90F heat. That's the first time I've ever seen the temperature warning symbol come up on the screen, and the body itself was getting pretty hot to the touch. Umbrella to the rescue!

    I used to shoot news and do some client work with a camcorder. I'm pretty solid with the theory of mirrorless cameras and I'm looking for my first mirrorless camera for business explainers, FAQ videos, how to videos, and "about me" videos. Do you think the ZV E10 would be a good first camera for that or should I go higher end? I thought I could start collecting lenses and accessories and then move to something like an FX30. I'm also looking at a Fuji X-S20.

    I wonder if zv-e10 slow-mo on pc looks better than on youtube. I wanna use it for car edits. For now i rolled them with gopro (2.7k 120fps) and i'm not sure if gopro slow-mo wasn't even smoother than zv-e10 compared to some clips on youtube. The only thing gopro is lacking is the bokeh and you can't get clear image when you are close to objects e.g. car logo. That's the main reason i consider buying sony camera. And also can you tell me how zv-e10 focus works with shooting cars?

    OK I have a question. I'm the official "Filming dad" for our daughter's soccer team and basically just stand at the center sidelines and video the games. They'll go for about an hour and a half and I've been using a gopro but the ability to see at the ends of the field leaves a lot to be desired so I'm wanting to use my ZVe10 I just got to film the games. From what I've seen testing, the battery will not last the whole game and I do have an Anker power bank with PD power but I'm trying to think of a semi-elegant way of mounting that thing to either the camera (assuming I use the small rig cage) or somehow to the tripod. Any ideas? I just had it laying on the ground with a long USB c cable going up to the gopro last season but if it's wet or muddy, I'd have to just cram it half way into my pocket or something and do that.

    Hey Mark, I am another one of those folks that bought the ZV-E10, based on your videos. Yup, still watching. I did end up picking up one of those K&F ND2-N32 variable ND to use with my 16mm f/1.4 Sigma. Jeez b'y, you might have mind control over my purchases. Rich yet? In any case, I find with the variable ND, stopped right down, there might be a minor cast to slightly warmer colours. What do you think? Get off the AWB? Or am I actually seeing what I think?

  • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis

    @MarkBennettCameraCrisis

    9 ай бұрын

    the 11 is really wide - so I would suggest you get the kit lens - you'll probably upgrade from it eventually but you can figure out what focal length you like. Or - if you don't need really wide shots - you can skip both the 11 and the kit lens get the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 and that will give you great results

    Grey Card ✅ K&F ND Filter ✅✅ Rookie questions: Does the Auto White Balance work well with the ND Filters? Also, when you use manual settings, should those all be set after the ND filter is on?

    yes and yes. the AWB will work fine with filter attached. you would set all of your settings after applying the nd filter.

    I've found this and I think this idea would be interesting too as "accesories", both the app and the phone mount kzread.info/dash/bejne/nqdkk5tpd8beerg.html - The first try with my ZV-E10 works very well, I'll use it for a couple of weeks before jumping to the app pro version.

    Yes - it's great. There is a bit of lag that some people are complaining about. DO you find any lag?

  • @Mandelrot

    @Mandelrot

    @@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yes, maybe half a second or so; but the free version only allows wireless connections, so I don't know how it will be using a cable with the paid app. Anyway for some purposes it could be good even with lag: I have some manual focus lenses and sometimes with the little screen it's hard to nail it, the app pro version allows focus picking so I think it would be great for photography and also for bright environments where the native screen is not enough. The shoe adapter/phone holder seems to be super convenient too, I've already ordered to use it even if I decide to not buy the app pro version. Just to give you an example, a couple of weeks ago I (alone) recorded this with a TTArtisan manual lens and focusing was a real pain in the ass. Having a remote app with focus picking would have saved me a lot of time kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJN8kpOxaLS6p5M.html - By the way, if you don't know the Adobe AI sound enhancer watch the full video and you'll be surprised with it.
