Jack Skellington in what other category did S9+ destroy XZ2PREMIUM? The margins between these phones is minimal but the low light test was a win for SONY. I don't know which other category let the S9+ win this. XZ2PREMIUM has stereo speakers. They're not as loud but being stereo is already better than dual on S9+. Displays are about the same brightness, higher resolution on XZ2PREMIUM plus I still prefer 16:9. The S9+ does, however, have the headphone jack which to me makes it the better phone. But be objective from what you've seen, SONY won this one. S9+ is still fantastic but I don't see where you're going by defending it like its Knight in shining armour

Rob Gillingwater little bit faster in every test, but the camera is debatable as these camera tests are very brief. Also Samsung has a headphone jack, better display and will most likely last longer. Ever since the S7 the lag issues with Samsung phones have stopped, but Sony is still known for it as well as massive battery issues. It is also very expensive.

Cao Minh Đỗ So are the ones like in Samsung that have dual pixel and ois with 1.4um. Plus dual aperture at 1.5 and 2.4. Where as Sony has fixed 2.0 still without ois.

Can't wait for the XZPREMIUM vs XZ2PREMIUM though. On a side note, the camera seemed a bit out of focus, especially noticeable around the speaker test when the "SONY" logo wasn't very sharp and the camera test because you could barely read the the text below "Super Nintendo" on the controller

I have XZ1 and with "only" 2700mah battery and it's impressive how much survive the battery during the day also all the rest and the audio quality and video quality including the pictures, it's definitely another step forward in phones

Love watching this with my Xperia XZ2 Premium Chrome Silver.. Good Job both Phone are amazing and smooth.

Better screen ( don't boast the 4k screen, it's not enabled by default it's just a 1080p screen and the s9+ screen looks far more beautiful than the xz2 premium and it's huge bezels ) more features ( secure folder, samsung knox, samsung pay is unbeatable since it works even with older machines unlike google pay or even apple pay and even a headphone jack lol). Far more intuitive design (the edge adds a whole new world of features which can nowhere be found, heck just search for techisode tv and you'll be amazed.

I'm using LG g6 right now, the software are bad for Asian dude even for Taiwan and Korean. It's only run 30 fps for pubg, while my friend vivo v7 plus that use SD 450 can run it 60 frame.

The camera isn't that close, friend... When you zommed at night (low-light condition) Sammy was getting really noisy. I think that now Sony has overtaken Samsung and gayphone (iPhoné) in camera perf too. I have now an Xperia xz premium, I always had Sonys before (Z3, ion, x10 etc) and this will never change, the next will be xz3 premium or its successor 👌👌

Other brands create the hype but still Sony crushes all of them

Jack Skellington The only debateable thing where the s9 would be better is the design.. Calling me a sony sheep while being a samsung fanboy who defends his phone without doing any research... The display is no match for sony's, unless you like colors unnaturally oversaturated, which can be your preference. I want to see a world in which 8bit hdr even comes close to 10bit hdr. Those edges due to the curved screen feel horrible in the hand and distort your view when watching videos. Great screen, they definitely thought that one through! The speakers might be louder, but they don't come close to the quality of the new xperia. Front facing stereo is much more immersive, too, even though it only is a small difference.. When it comes to headphone audio, Sony and htc share the top spot on paper, but I've only tried huawei's, sony's, samsung's and lg's flagships. So for me it's undeniably sony, unless the htc dethrones it. Samsung doesn't even support LDAC... The headphone jack is the only valid point you've made so far. I can see, why a headphone jack is a great thing to have, but personally I wouldn't use it anyways cuz I have LDAC ready premium headphones. To the headphones which are included in the box: "100 dollar headphones" woooooow! Do your research! The headphones included in the xz2 premium's box are worth 289 dollars. Even the xz2 came with headphones worth 180 dollars. Samsung UI is the worst one out there... It slows down the phone, as seen in this video, and isn't user friendly at all! They even use push notifications to advertise their own products like the note 9! Even apps for 1 dollar won't show adds unless they're free! I've never seen as much bloatware as on a samsung device too. Only amazon's firephone is a tad worse in that regard. And features.. What worthy features does Samsung include with the s9? Tell me one that's special! Please stop defending your oh so lovely Samsung wherever you go and start hoping that the galaxy X finally brings innovation for samsung... You're literally confirming the point I made above.

Although i am a samsung fans,but i admit sony wins .For me,every phone is the same and can last long if you know how to protect your phone.I will close all the recent apps after using them and clean ram every time i sleep.I also close the features that i do not need and restart my phone once a week and my phone works fine until now.😃

I disagree that the audio quality is "pretty close" on both. I work for T-Mobile, I sell Galaxy's and every other phone on US market, and I myself have the XZ2 Premium, I like that Sony didn't give up the sound quality and FRONT FACING stereo speakers like Samsung did. Because when you are trying to watch a video on any Samsung device the sound goes sideways, which is really uncomfortable, and with the XZ2 Premium, sound blows at you, which is really good

For multi-tasking test open apps from home screen only...don’t open from app drawer it takes time

And had room to shrink them while slightly modifying and improving on their own unique design. At least the z4 is supposed to have a battery capacity to match the huge thickness of their devices now.

I had 3 Sony devices in the past with sudden death which could effect almost any model of device they released for many years up until about last 2017. And did effect endless amounts as the internet is littered with endless pages of people trying to fix it or figure out. And customer support doesn't accept it as a manufacturer defect and won't even repair an out of warranty device. Just tell you that you have to go to Amazon and buy your own parts... If you can even find them or attempt the repair that is. Not to mention that also during that time frame again up to about 2017 most of their displays were considered self cracking for how easily they could crack. And then even from the tiniest of tiny Itty bitty little cracks 90% of the time the entire touch would go out. Many of the displays also get bright spots and image retention. Or dark spots. And despite all the lies just like iPhone users I know damn well that just like many other phones it wasn't until the past couple years that they started actually performing with less stutters and glitches. But guess. Despite that Im not sitting here bringing that up in every comment or talking shit on them. Or dwelling on past device issues to describe the quality of the current devices. And what I listed above is all one hundred percent factual real life issues. Unlike you claiming oled burn in is a horrible guaranteed wide spread issue. Or as if lcd doesn't have similar or its own issues. And try asking any real life note 8 userif it's slow or bad and they will laugh in your face.

But I have to explain simple facts that anyone who actually did unbiased research or knew what they were talking about when it comes to phones and the relevant tech?? Let's see. Maybe the Samsung displays are scientifically tested to be the best ones. Only now recently since the iPhone x with it's high grade Samsung oled playing leap frog with brightness and color accuracy. In terms of hdr compliance, brightness, sunlight visibility, color profiles, color accuracy. And with the new xz3 people can say rec 2020 but when the galaxy display excels in more areas like brightness that still puts things in their favor. Speakers....easy only xz3 tested louder by a small margin and only because both speakers are front firing. In terms of overall sound and volume the s9 and note 9 speakers are top currently. Maybe not for much longer but beating out Sony, HTC, razr, axon, alcatel... Camera???? Dynamic range, dual pixel focus with much faster focusing and focus tracking, ois, brighter and dual aperture, exposure control, settings and controls, more matured image processing. Even though Samsung upped the noise reduction a bit too much the processing is still superoir. And even though Sony uses 7mp more resolution and looks more over sharpened does not even always look sharper. That's crazy. Lacking ois at this point is just insanity. And no eis does not entirely make up for it. Sony is good just not up to par in all areas. Especially for selling all the sensors and supposedly keeping the better one for themselves. The galaxy just offers a much better overall package. And monies worth. In the mobile division Samsung spends a lot more money in research and development, factories, customer care, included accessories, and marketing. And can still cost similar or less with a better overall phone. Sony has the potential but they have yet to step up to it. The ones running the mobile division have been doing a terrible job and holding themselves down for years. Even just simply properly releasing and marketing their devices would get them way more sales even without fixing their shortcomings.

Both phones equally out class eachother it's not just design the s9 plus IS HELLA COMFORTABLE and although the Sony has a 4k display colors are much better calibrated on s9 plus and samsung is secured by knox which got rated 25 out of 28 on gartner

I have both note 3 and note 8 . After six months note 8 became slower than my Nokia 6 . Now it is about 1.2years . Display became yellowish and battery backup is just worst in my life . You Samsung fan boys should shut up and consider the truth.
