I got to demo the XB31 at walmart, i really like the sound quality especially in live mode and it sounded very similar to your video. Thank you. Im going to get the XB31. It just sounds better to me.

Depends on the genre & volume setting. Each has its perks. For clarity it's the 31 at 70% or lower . But for pure bass it's 41all the way. My advice do 2 x 31 & 1 x 41.

Xb31 more treble xb41 more bass. It's the first thing I noticed. U can use eq tho.

Excellent comparative, I have a Xb31 and I was lacking in desire to buy an Xb41, definitely not worth a trade already in my preferred way "live sound" did better on xb31.

Yeah dont know if anyone is aware but there is a app to change the eq on these little guys that actually is pretty good because if you want a crap load of bass then you can adjust that or you can adjust it two whatever you like

I have the xb41 and I’ve had it for years and it still works like a champ! Great speaker.

DLX Wilington challenge from me.... Take JBL Xtreme with (and later Xtreme 2) Sony Srs xb41 and go outside just like year ago. If you agree with such an idea, leave a thumb up.

i always write this down, you just need to f*ing tweak the xb40,41 in the songpal app. boost bass and boost treble and slight mid and it will sound awasome and non distrorted.

Hi DLX, I happen to audition xb31 and 41 and I think 31 has a better sound quality. Regarding the looks and feel maybe a little better than the previous but the fabric being used looks cheap.

I am an owner of a xb31 and I can confirm it is a pehnoemenal speaker (especially with more treble, less bass on R&B EQ)

Is it true that the Sony extra bass range, when there is little battery drastically reduces the volume? and if so, can I use an external battery to keep the battery on? Thank you

I have all three, XB41, 31and 21. The bass on the XB31 is on lower volumes comparable to the 41, but on some bass-heavy songs the XB31 starts to distort a little bit (manly on LiveSound Mode and sometimes on XB-Mode). @DLX Willington: Did you hear distortions on the XB31, too?

I want really powerfull sound but maybe if i get the xb41i wont want to bring it with me because of its bigger size... is there a big difference in sound? Is the weight and size difference worth the improvement in bass and loudness? (Btw, the price doesn't matter to me because they're only 20€ appart)

Glad I watched this before I bought one. I was going with the xb41, but now I'll save some money and get the xb31.

DLX willington I’m having a minor issue when I play a 70-85 hz test tons from 50-60 % volume on my xb41 I hear a sound that sounds really bad can you please see if it’s for all xb41’s? Edit anyone with xb41 please try and tell me if it happens when you play a 75 hertz test tone at 60 % volume

I like this video but I feel like using music that is more familiar would help alot. These songs are pretty dynamic though

download the right app and the Sony sounds incredibly good! Nice clean base and crisp highs. I have the xb31 and it's a fantastic speaker. The right settings and it is quite loud too for it's size. Love it!

Dude white/silver colour is not sold in India. Only black, blue and red are the options in XB31.

Live sound on xb41 is bad , xb31 sounds way better I agree. I have both too.

Just bought the xb31. What are the main advantages of the xb41 over the xb31?

Here's the 31 without the covers, but it still works for under $40 on eBay, definitely ordering it to attempt to fit the 48 mm speakers nside my backpack which called "SPEAKER BACKPACK" from Stealth Labs or HYPEPACK (basically one company copied the others design lol) Doing this because the Speakers it came with are a little too... weak, for my tastes.

I can listen with full volume while charging my xb31 with "Quick charge 3.0" charger

I own true of this song is 31 and they sound but I would like to switch from the live sale two extra base I don’t see it in the instruction and I’m wondering how or if you can make the radio about I think it will help out a lot of people that have the same question

never understood how people dont like the light show accessory on speakers makes the music visual turning it into a full auditory and visual show. which is a way better experience overall. Don't feel like looking at lights turn them off. They do what lightless speakers do plus the option to have a light show. Light speakers are better hands down. Lightless speakers are like going to a concert with all the lights off.

Sony should have used separate tweeters in XB41. Bass is fine but it’s overpowering mids & highs. Reasons why Xtreme is better than XB41.

Xb31 is the winner. Sound on XB41 is like those old radios with the tone button fully turn at low.

Xb31 has clearity

The XB31 is ready to go out of the box. The XB41 sounds muddy out of the box but with proper configuration, it wrecks the XB31.

31 Sound is wayy Better Listen 1:39 But Actually Its More Live on the 41 Side cuz its like The Girl is there singing with a mic right in front of her mouth so more Live yeahh..!!

Yes, they are at the exact same price at the moment !

The battery doesn't last more than 3hrs to Hitech trance music. None of the Bluetooth speakers can pass the Hitech trance test for battery life. Hahahaha! Amazing output, great sound quality, great speaker. Doesn't pass the Hitech trance test! battery life put to the real test.

The tuning on these speakers is so weird

I bought my Sony XB31 speaker with reluctance, as it is a Bluetooth speaker and I know they make serious quality sacrifices price per value (not just battery life). Honestly, when I turned it on I was absolutely amazed at how well it sounds. I have heard the JBL's similar offering and it isn't quite as worth it. Glad I chose Sony's.
