Different take on Scenario 2, Maybe 2.1... owns a move1 needs a second speaker to fully cover a bigger space.. buys a second 'cheaper' move 1 then at least you can have a stereo pair in that area or just save money.

Fair point! I was considering mentioning something similar, but there was a point where I had a stereo pair out there on those 2 hooks in the backyard (seen in the video) they ended up being a little to far apart and if you were sitting in either of those areas, you would actually end up missing some sounds that were panned exclusively to one speaker or the other. A good example of this would be some older recordings- the Beatles/Rolling Stones, or a lot of old jazz stuff (which I listen to often). But hey…this is EXACTLY what the comments are for- hashing out other ideas! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment- I really appreciate it! ✌🏼

@@NigelWorkman hmm, yeah... I'd not thought of that scenario. Only or predominantly L or R channel listening would be annoying.. so maybe outdoors you really are only interested in a pair of mono speakers. Keep up the good work 😀

@@NigelWorkman As I see it, Annoyances, mostly related to taking the speaker away from home... Carried over from the M1 the charging cradle bad design decision to have the cable, charger and dock all hard wired together is only half fixed. When travelling about I found it a pain to take the cradle with me, bulky and long term I figured it would be susceptible to cable breakages so bought a beefy charging brick and a cable as a travel solution (doubles as laptop / phone charger etc etc thus saving on packing space). The M2 seems to have not made much progress other than the brick part is a little smaller. Yes you can detach the cable from this part & you could use the M2 brick for other devices (not a laptop at 45W though) if needed but you will need to provide your own cable to used the USBC port on the back of the speaker. Why not just have USBC on both cradle and brick? Odd decision in my opinion. Also indoors, having an M1 & an M2 would annoy the heck out of me having to take each speaker to a specific charging cradle (maybe this isn't true but I believe they are different? maybe you could confirm as you have both to hand. Both I believe are 45W but the shapes look different. Can't stereo pair the M1/M2 so I'd be looking at it as a sell the M1 and buy an M2 - And from our discussion here I'm convinced I'd be better off with 2 M1's for outdoor (mono mono) or 2 M1's for indoors in a stereo pair. 1 of each seems excessive and probably fits into your might not keep it self justification turmoil :) As it is, 7 times out of ten I take my Roam away as the Move is just to chunky but the 3 time I take it (M1) because I have the space and it sounds divine for a small party. Funnily, my first impression of the speaker - and this is more testament to the Roam is that the Roam doesn't sound rubbish even after listening to the Move - just less whomp!

That’s an awesome deal, Weekendwarrior! I’m glad you were able to get one at such a great price- definitely worth 359 all day! Just recently, Sonos had a deal going on where if you had a 15% trade-in credit from previous purchases they would actually double it and give you 30% off. I was super tempted to buy an additional set of error 300 or maybe even a couple Roams, but I dragged my feet too long, and the deal went away. Lol. If they run a promotion like that again, I will definitely be picking something up. Thanks for stopping by and leaving another comment- I really appreciate you! ✌🏼🤟🏼

En realidad nunca lo he usado para ese propósito. No solo eso, sino que tienes dos canales separados para las frecuencias más altas, por lo que incluso tendrías estéreo cuando miras una película, con suerte jajaja. ¡Espero que ayude! Hello, Irene! Yes, you can definitely pair additional devices without the Sonos app (after initial setup) There is a toggle on the speaker that will switch between Bluetooth and and the standard WiFi modes. Once in Bluetooth mode, you will hold the same button down to go into pairing mode. Everything from there should feel pretty familiar. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • @NigelWorkman

Hey Luce, thanks for stopping by! I figured that statement might be slightly controversial to Sonos fans, but I will stand behind my statement which is if you need an outdoor speaker with tons of volume tons of bass and tons of battery life the JBL is absolutely going to outperform the move all day. that’s not to say that it’s the better speaker for everybody. That was geared exclusively towards the people who do not own any other Sonos speakers and are not planning on purchasing any other Sonos speakers in the future. I have Sonos speakers all over my house, and I’ve spent thousands of dollars building this ecosystem, but if I needed to bring one speaker with me meet outside of the house, and it needed to be extremely loud with clean sound and have a battery to match, the JBL is the winner, period. Even if we disagree, I’m thankful for you taking the time to leave a comment! Have a great day, brother!

Saying it's not worth 100 bucks definitely tells me anything I need to know about you. You have no ear for good sound, probably just care for loudness and that is it.
