I work aircraft maintenance. We have Lista boxes at work that get pushed around the ramp daily, absolute beat on (idiots slamming drawers and such) and carry full foam laser etched cutouts. These boxes have been in service for 15 years. The most we’ve had to do to them is replace some bearings halfway through their life. I’m a true believer in Lista and firmly stand behind them being the best in the world after seeing what abuse they can take.

I love Lista. I just couldn't figure out how to make it work with them. They are really, really hard to spec and order. Then I found these.

OG, should every garage have a rolling cart or are cabinets enough? I feel like having a good cart such as a shuter with all the items for a certain project on it works best so you don't have to constantly pause and go get something

If you have a good amount of tools, you need cabinets/tool box. A cart is a nice to have if you have the room. If youre talking about a home garage, you could have a cart on the wall that you pull around

Not bad. We have Lista cabinets at Aston Martin dealer & they’re the best out there in my opinion. These seem decent for the price & customization though.

Lista is legit. I like them a lot. Someday I hope to have those in the store also as another option on the high-end. It's a massive undertaking that I tried to do 4 years ago. It was too big to accomplish at that time with me doing it myself.

These do cost a lot for sure. But if money is no object then it’s great. It’s just like Matt says, it’s the Ferrari of cabinets. These are not for me as cabinets are not the higher priority. I have New Age Pro. They are ok, but again, it’s a cabinet for my shop. It’s all in what you can afford and the priority you put on it.

I'd love to hear Matt's opinion on New Age Pro cabinets. These MSS+ cabinets look outstanding, but the investment accounts are gonna need a Michael Burry esque return before I can afford them

Basically it doesn't matter where a product is made. It's about making sure that specifications are followed and test auditing of the product is done. My friend works at a steel cable manufacturing plant here in the California. The company is from Japan with locations in the US. My friend does the testing of the steel coming in. He's found that the steel from China often times will test out at a higher standard more consistently. The companies that sell to the company know that their products will be tested. The steel cables made have ended up across the country.

@@jrose7381 As you conveniently ignore what I wrote about specifications and quality checks. We have a lot of high quality electronic equipment throughout the US that is made in China. The US would be in a world of hurt if that equipment wasn't reliable. The equipment is commercial quality and very expensive. The Chinese companies get the contracts because the quality is there. But you're probably used to seeing cheaper consumer products. You might be taking a chance when it's really cheaper than everyone else. Even I will question why something is so cheap. What are the shortcuts they're taking to make it so cheap.

I've seen and touched almost all of the high-end cabinets made. I'm telling you these are insanely awesome. Lista/Rousseau is more industrial grade and is heftier and can hold more weight. The people that own dealerships know much less than I do about this stuff. Like 1/100th. They are just buying what their reps sell them. These have a much better fit and finish and are still fully capable of handling anything you'd want to put in them. That make them better.

@@doubledforadoubledose6289 Have you ever looked at all the decals on race cars. Sponsorship money coming in. Sponsors will give a race team free products if they can use it. It's an advertising medium. The race teams have their traveling shops in their trailers. So the cost to stock up a trailer with tools is another way of making money by not spending it. No doubt when contracts are made. The contract no doubt is a two way street. Sponsors and the race team will each have there own requirements to make it a mutually agreeable relationship. It's no different for any sport business. Want your name on the stadium or on the socks of the players. It's big business for all these companies. I was able to listen to a NFL referee one time at a managers meeting of a former company I worked for. He said NFL properties, the merchandising and licensing arm is bigger than all the ticket sales and luxury suites.

@@ObsessedGarage works and gets the job done same as these. Need a drawer to put a tool in- works exactly the same. At 1/20th the price. Every single thing is the same on these and husky. Except the vents which I could do if I wanted to on my drawers. Sonic branded husky way overpriced.

Why wouldn’t you just buy a higher end large tool box with side lockers and a hutch? Tested and trusted by all types of people. It’s a garage not a kitchen. Matt seems to love the things he’s allowed to sell so much more.

You don't seem too familiar with good old Matt Moreman? 95% of what he sells on his website is what he'd personally use. If he didn't like MSS+ he wouldn't sell them let alone put tens of thousands of dollars worth of it in his garage.

Snap-On, Mac, etc boxes are great if you’re a mechanic. Matt has admitted over and over he is not. He’s a garage guy. Looking for a custom storage solution. It’s different strokes for different folks. But also, who cares if he makes a buck while he’s at this? No one makes a KZread channel without the hope it makes them a buck in one way or another.

Matt is providing options. Just because it isn't for you specifically, doesn't diminish the value to others. His brand is Obsessed Garage. Not Good Enough Garage. I'll realistically probably never buy MSS+ cabinets but it doesn't make me feel bad about myself knowing they exist. Think happy thoughts.
