Richie, Led Zeppelin II was the first Zep album I bought as a kid. The album cover attracted me, cute little drug addicts posing as War Veterans. That concept intrigued me endlessly. My favorite tune is'' The Lemon Song'', John Paul Jones bass playing is amazing. He's no slouch on ''Heartbreaker/ Living Loving Maid'' either! The live version of ''Street Fighting Man'' is my preferred version, the sitar on the studio version takes away some of the impact of the lyrical content and menacing groove.

Great idea for a video; I'll check out James's video. I'm not familiar with the other guy you mentioned. I had that Nina Hagen record when it came out...."not for everybody" is an understatement. lol Did T Rex really blow up in the United States? I think of them as a one-hit wonder band here in the US. Bang A Gong was the only hit I know of, although I know they had some great albums and were an iconic band in England and also a punk influence. Oh well...doesn't matter. How about "People Are Strange", the opening song on side 2 of Strange Days. Maybe I'll dig through my records and see if I can find some good ones for a response video. Rock on Vinyl Richie!

9:05. Totally. Rod becomes a wanker. But between 69-74 with his Faces work and his solo work (let’s face it- it’s still the Faces given they play on his solo albums and Woodie wrote some of the tracks with Rod). I’ve always viewed everything Rod did up to 74 as the Faces, regardless if some albums said Rod Stewart alone

“Never Understand” - Psychocandy “Feed Me With Your Kiss” - Isn’t Anything As you know, “This Charming Man” doesn’t qualify, as this is the Side 2 Track 1 of the American pressing only. American pressings of British records don’t count. I would say the same thing if it were the other way round. “Still Ill” would be a good choice though.

@@vinylrichie007 I disagree. Pistols at dawn, it is! Although being an American, you’ll probably bring along a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range. But really, it’s not to do with whether it’s a British or American pressing. It’s about the artist’s original intent - which was the five specific songs chosen by The Smiths that appear on the original release. Side 2 of that record has a very specific, intentionally dark mood, which is entirely thrown off kilter by randomly throwing one of their jauntiest pop songs in there. That second side is meant to start with “Still Ill” for a reason.
