I think it's one of the best products you can get, that's how highly I rate it.

Been using Sonax BSD for years, I actually look forward to rain, as the GTI looks great with the water beaded all over it

I'd agreed with your findings being a user for a number of years. It does grab and can smear but I'm happy to accept that given the protection qualities. It might be worth considering having a more classic QD for the summer months when shine is of most importance but reverting to BSD the other 50 weeks of the year :).

Its the polymers. Polymers are grippy but have immense water reppelling properties. Its up there with the best detailers.

BSD on top of Fusso Coat is my favourite combo. Throw in some Bouncer's Done and Dusted Si Edition every now and then and the car is guaranteed to glow beyond understanding 😊. BSD is best used as a drying aid or applied with a lightly damp microfibre cloth. During summer I mix 300mls of BSD with 200mils of Maguiars Last Touch detailer that I buy in bulk. It adds more gloss and has good anti-static properties. As I said, Done and Dusted Si Edition on top of BSD is absolutely delightful to use and enjoy the result afterwards.

Been using it for almost 6yrs now. Superb.

You can't beat this stuff for the price and performance, I mainly use it in winter 👍🏻

Love your channel, I've been using BSD on both my car and bike for over a year now and absolutely love it, cheap and does a fantastic job, nothing else comes close especially for the money

So easy to use and the results are always fantastic. It's also cheap and the bottle is large, so it lasts ages.

When I explain what bsd is to my mates etc when they get involved with mine and there cars I always say it's a spray sealant. Great product and for the price it's amazing!

Recently put this on top of bilt hamber double speed wax and the water beading and protection for the money is second to none,my favourite product in my garage hands down!!

Agree with all your comments, I’m yet to find something that offers better beading for ease of application. Used to use it all the time for protection top ups but my car has now been ceramic coated so it’s more redundant now.

I got mine from the eurocarparts eBay store for £6.51, amazing product, love it!

Today (before watching this video) I purchased one directly from a Euro Car Parts store for £11.49! But you can purchase it from Amazon for £7.49, strangely enough the seller is Euro Car Parts! Buggers

You get the best beading en sheeting with application on dry paint. Sure its usable as drying aid, beading and sheeting will be less aggressive.

I bought this 2 years ago at waxstock. It's amazing stuff. Another great video Paul 👍

I bought this myself a few weeks ago, same price range below £8. I clean cars part time evenings after work and weekends also. I used this and found great water beading effect from it. Would agree about the shine after buffing nothing special but its lasting longer on my customers cars than other detailer shine products. So i think i will continue to use it for now.

Check out Bouncer's Done and Dusted Si Edition if you want to add crazy levels of gloss as a topper to your LSP or BSD itself. They go super well together.

I find it works best if you use a cross hatch application on the full car, then go round and buff.. Leaves great protection

Hey Paul I've just got the same deal... ordered yesterday and was delivered today! Apparently people mixing it down with water to resolve streaking issues! I've done 1 50/50 ant the other 2:1 with deionised water!! I've seen people using it as a waterless wash at 3:1.

Amazing product. Try pulling the trigger faster and it will atomize better and finer, also spray further away. Use this as a drying aid all the time. Brilliant for the winter months. I've diluted some 50/50 with SimpleWax Gloss Enhancer and it's turned out amazing. I apply then wipe, leave for a min or 2 then buff off. Brilliant on glass, not used it on the windscreen.

Same here, using as a drying aid. Car is coated with Fusso Coat (another bargain!) and I just use pressure washer to clean the car, twice a week, in most weeks and rarely need a shampoo. BSD has very good cleaning capabilities as well so any light dirt gets removed easily during the drying process if it doesn't get washed away with the pressure washer. Tip for application with the car dry: apply on a lightly damp microfibre cloth or pad. It makes a huge difference, spreads more easily. Buff off afterwards as usual.

Only recently purchased this and applied to a car i'm about to part-ex, lovely glossy glow on red paint!

It works really well when you water it down, it streaks less and shines more. Best used as a drying agent imo.

Applying it with MF pad section by section like coating does wonders!!!! Such a good product, wouldn't give it for anything else on the market!

Been using it professionally for years as a sealant , my favorite combo is BSD under collinite 845. BSD alone generally lasts 8 to 10 weeks. It is a bit grabby, never had an issue with streaks or smears. My local independent parts retailer sells it for £6.50, tho he cannot get the 5 litre.

In the UK check carparts4less, they are related to Euro Car parts, but usually cheaper. The search is broken on their site, so searching Sonax gets no results, but searching the Euro Car Parts order code works. Great stuff for the wow factor, have you used sonax polymer netshield, I've put it on a few cars now it's amazing and much much easier and faster to apply

Hi I have used bsd but I found it needed to diluted 3 to 1 .

Sonax Brilliant Shine is the best , you can use ist with 1:1 water , result is the same

What is the difference between applying BSD directly on a prepped surface versus applying it on waxed surface (BH DSW or Collinite 845 insulator wax)? Thanks :-)

S K all you are doing on a waxed surface is topping up protection in between washes the other waxes you mention may have different longevity levels it will still bond on your stand alone LSP

Dilute it a bit (50:50 many say) or spray it onto a well wrung out damp microfibre rather than the panel and you will get no grab and no reduction in performance
