Somewhere Over The Rainbow - Only Boys Aloud ft. Sophie Evans

Музыка

The World Health Organization designated 2020 as the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. This global initiative is the first of its kind and we are pleased to add our voices to the celebrations.
The year hasn’t worked out as planned, but we couldn’t be prouder of the contribution nursing and midwifery professionals have made at the heart of the response to COVID-19, coping with unprecedented challenges across all health care settings in Wales and across the UK.
We want to say thank you.
This evening, we were due to be singing at the Nurse of The Year Awards for the Royal College of Nursing Wales. As the event is unable to happen, we recorded this virtually during rehearsals to mark the event. We asked star of Wizard of Oz and Wicked, Sophie Evans to join us in this song.
Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Harold Arlen & E Y Harburg
Arranged by Nick Bristow
Sung by Only Boys Aloud & Sophie Evans
Produced and Edited by Craig Yates

Glad to see such a large participation! The "choreography" of zooming the windows was a great idea, blending well with the music and allowing each group to be seen in turn.

Well done. It’s not easy to sing as a choir through platforms like Zoom. But the choreography was done very well. 👍🏻 I really hope to see them performing life soon. It’s a great choir of young lads. Congratulations 🎈👏🏻

There is something unique and special about Only BOYS Aloud. you have an amazing wonderful talented group of guys. There are many options for girls to sing in girls only choruses and choirs there's no need to deny one of your own the lead in any of your productions. 🤔

OBA and there is a girl lead singer. You guys don't get what you are about do you . . . You deserve a thumbs down, but since I am an ardent fan I can't do that, but stop with the crap and find a lead singer from within your group. Im sure there is at least one if not more that is able to dazzle the audience. For live concerts I can see having a "guest". You have so much to work with that you are just throwing out the window. You have all these kids that can speak to the world and tell their story on how they are dealing with the C19 stuff. But nothing comes, and we get a video with a female solo. What a let-down. NOTHING against Sophie, just doesn't belong here. I am THUMBS UP number 96 just to show support for these kids dealing with a lot of stuff now, but I am not happy to see management making decisions like this. This is about the kids, their lives, and their talent. How about keeping your focus where it belongs.

That girl is Sophie Evans who played Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Weber's version of The Wizard of Oz then played Glinda in the recent West End version of Wicked.
