Something Unusual Is Happening on Neptune. Even NASA Can't Believe!

Ғылым және технология

Astronomers have discovered something weird happening on Neptune. Nearly all the clouds that decorate its apparent blue atmosphere have disappeared, leaving the far-flung world almost devoid of clouds. Unlike the calm blue sky on Earth, Neptune's sky is constantly changing and full of action. It has some of the fastest winds in our solar system, reaching up to 2000 km/hr or 1200 mi/hr.
These turbulent conditions whip clouds of methane and other gases into a never-ending show, like a dance we can barely see from Earth. But here's the surprising part: lately, all the clouds have seemingly disappeared on Neptune, dramatically changing the appearance of the distant planet. Things took an interesting turn when scientists discovered the reason behind this change: the 11-year solar cycle, whose origin remains a mystery to date.
So, how did astronomers discover the reason behind the disappearance of the Neptunian clouds? How does the Sun, lying 4.4 billion km away, affect the atmosphere of Neptune to such a great extent? Finally, and most importantly, what evidence do we have to support this idea?
The 73rd episode of the Sunday Discovery Series answers all these questions in detail.

the biggest reason for the lack of similar exploration craft to voyager was the cessation of production of the u238 fuel at the end of the cold war which left a limited supply available for future missions. They only started replenishing the depleted stockpile again in 2015. With out this type of nuclear fuel source, such long term distant missions cannot maintain sufficient power supply to meet mission needs.

There have been other similar dark spots to happen over the years and then disappear. It makes sense to me that neptune being as far out as it is might be in the trajectory of the kinds of things that would make impacts such as these. ☄️

Follow the scent!!!🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐶🐾🐺 Each month the planet eats up the moon, transcending space and time. The planet being a melting pot and magic mushroom cap. We're individually playing the same role.🧞‍♂️🧚‍♀️🧜‍♂️🧝‍♀️ Asteroids are lower vibrational thoughts. Comets are higher vibrational thoughts. ☄❤🧡💛💚💙💜 The asteroid deflection strategy by NASA, yet another clue!!🕵️‍♀️ It's us simply rolling our eyes.🙄 Shrugging our shoulders!!🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️ Going with the flow!!🌊🌊🌊 Knowing that loving everything and everyone, at the end of the day, is all we need to do. Purrthquakes instead of Earthquakes.🐈🐾🌈 A catastrophic catastrophe!!🙀 Literally everything and everyone plays the role of a virus.🐛🍎🦋 They come in all flavors and sizes.🍧🍨🍦🍩🍪🎂🍰🥧🍫🍬🍭😋 Be the virus/change, you want to see in the world.🍄🐰⏰👁 Be a quasar!! A G.O.A.T.☄🐏🌄 Be a superhero!!!🥋🐼🌱 The type that will do anything for love, but they won't do that. No more fighting and far less bickering!!🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️ Betelgeuse and so many other stars will blow!!Their juices like ingredients for this potluck!!🍊🎆🍬🎇🍭✨🍇 People will come!! Field Of Dreams!!🌅 World/universal peace is like an orgasm. Creating quantum entanglement. 👻💞👻💞👻💞👻💞👻💞👻💞 I've been doing this for too long. I was doing it before I even knew I was doing it!! We all have been. We came here for this!!🙇‍♂️🙇‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️💆‍♂️💆‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ I'll keep going and going and going. It just takes energy!!🐇🐾🐇🐾🐇🐾🐇🐾🐇🐾🐇🐾 Like a broken record I am, until somebody flips me over.💃🕺🎵🎶🎧🎷🎸🎹🎺🎻🥁 Most likely my twin flame.🦈🔥🦈🔥 I need a little help from my purriends. Finding Nemo, Finding Dory vibes.🐳🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🦈🐙🐚🦀🦐🦑🐌 Righteous!!🐢💞 I was recently shown a picture of New Zealand. Part of it, at least to me, looks like a butterflies wings. The Butterfly Effect!!🦋 New Earth. Super Earth!!🌞🌚🌍🌬🌈🌊🌺🐜🐞🕷🕸🦗 My cosmic perspective.🐶🐾
