the glitchy movements of the creature is actually funny to me and it ruined the horror. not saying it's bad, just that it gave me a good laugh.

Loved the cockroach part, even though I hate roaches IRL. It was so gross and creepy I got shivers...which is a good thing in a horror game!

Kinda reminded me of my childhood - similar things could be seen while entering a kitchen during night. Meh, there is one good option when situation is drastic like we see here... Spiders. Lots and lots of -little- fat nasty spiders. ... No, they wouldn't solve the problem. But at least that way your apartment will be properly horrifying)

@@mariafernandavillavargas5548 don't worry Maria I can confirm there are none. Sometimes when I'm high everything sounds scary but when you literally accept there's nothing there you're fine. We imagine we have predators because the dark is supposed to scare every being. We imagine monsters and demons who knows what other animals think lurk in the unknown waiting for them. A deer thats never seen a predator will run at any sound and who knows what they think is chasing them.

It feels like our perspective is like a camera, even the zooming with the delayed focus too. Curious... And the cockroach hallway is horrific. A short game, but a good one.

The monster's movements at 4:26 was terrifying but I could not help remembering the "Get Down" meme and it became hilarious instead.

Looks great, I know I’m late to see this but this actually gave me chills. I love this type of horror where it’s not constant jump scares or chase scenes but built up tension from being watched and just overall disturbing interactions. If you did this by yourself I’m even more impressed, would 100% play a full game out of this, I’m just picturing what you could do with triple A backing and full creative control. Keep doing what you do man you got talent🙏

I was inclined to write this off as another eye- rolling PT clone but it honestly looks so polished i was impressed. Then to find out it was basically one dude, his first project, and a Moroccan at that (gotta rep my people) who likely had nearly zero support or resources, my respect just kept increasing. I'm really glad you brought this game to attention, and I'm excited to see what they put out next!

I think the monster model would've been better if it didn't do glitchy shakes. The part where it was pulling itself from the TV was scary until it started jerking about, same with the shower sequence.

@@-EndlessHorizon True, I'm sure it wouldn't have been so out of place if the jerks were slower/not as many during the sequences. Though they didn't need it for the t.v. one, I stand firmly on that.

The shower scene would've been much better if the shadow just stood there doing absolutely nothing. And then forcing you to actually pull the curtain to reveal there's nothing before the door would reopen. That would've been more effective than just letting you stand there as the shadow contorts for no reason and the door reopens for no reason after what should have been a scary moment.

When manly starts to turn around slowly, I begin to think that it's part of a cut scene and that there's going to be a jumpscare every time.

Just me or that thing in the shower kinda shaped like handsome Squidward.

The twitching was a bit too much, particularly in the bathroom. The shadow rising up was good, but it went from creepy to comical pretty fast. Perhaps something like it remaining stock still until suddenly and violently bending at the neck or waist in an impossible manner before disappearing would have worked better. Preferably with a crack or crunch of bone to add to the suddenness.

My reactions: Demon: Aw, he's dancing in the shower. Cockroaches: WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE. NOW.

With every PT-like, I grow sadder and sadder that we didn't get silent hills. Even KZread recognizes this game as P.T. PT and it's similar fanmade games such as this one, are excellent. It goes to show how good PT was. A Playable Teaser sparked this much love for horror games and it was canceled because of Konami. I truly think Silent Hills would have been THE scariest game.

@@faithwright now if only some of them would expand on their setting, have the looping hallway be a bad ending or a boss, instead of the whole game, that'd be awesome. Only one to really add more to that was the wholesome one alot of people played way back.

True horror, being haunted by an alien that just graduated from art school, forcing you to be rhe audience of its interpretive dancing shows.

That cockroach segment was too real for me. My apartment building got fumigated a few months ago cause of those brown bastards. They were everywhere, and I REALLY mean everywhere. By the way, I wish the guy in the shower could scrub my back. I have one arm and it's pretty hard to do it myself.

For a first time game dev, this was very atmospheric and impressive! I’m excited to see what the dev can do in the future!

The graphics were somewhat realistically eerie and unsettling. Love it.

Tbh this one didn't have the fear factor in it for me. But visually it looked great, hallway and roaches were creepy too! Thank you for uploading, MBAH!

this would be a really neat VR experience,with 4d as well,like when the cockroaches fell,you should be able to feel it

_Roaches will be with us at the end of days_ They certainly were at the end of this person's days . This was pretty good - I liked the model of the thing coming out of the TV. But I have said this many times before - you are the _master_ of that slow turn. It scares me more than any jump scare because I start to tense up, waiting. That is what this game did pretty well - kept me tense, waiting for what creepy thing was next.

Look on the bright side, being dead means you don't have to pay for fumigating this place! And yeah, every time Manly does that slow turn I found myself looking to the side, as if I can see more if I do that lol

Some of the jerky movements were more silly than scary, but at other times it was effective in selling the eeriness of the ghost. The cockroaches and damaged walls and roof were a nice segment, and the entity coming out of the TV was pretty good. For a first game, this is a good one.

4:27 Geddan (get down) starts playing in my head while watching this and it's just too funny.

Saw the model flipping out, laughed out loud, mentally added Eurobeat music.

For a first game this was really great!! The creator definitely has a good foundation of what makes horror games spooky, and there’s a ton of potential here!! Definitely someone who can only go up from here-lots of great ideas and a solid base, just needs more experience, experimentation, and fine tuning! And for me, at least, the cockroach scene would’ve been way scarier if there were MORE of them, but that’s bc I’m personally very creeped out by massive swarms of bugs XD having the holes in the ceiling and the roaches periodically falling was a really great touch! A real shudder and cringe moment to imagine live roaches falling on your head 😭😂

There should be a bug warning holy shit, but that was definitely the most original part of the game. Not something I would recommend watching while eating though... Good thing I wasn't eating the black beans yet

PT destroyed indie horror. Everyone loves to do walking simulator with zero gameplay.

I wish I could manually zoom in my eyeballs like this protagonist can.

I was a bit meh on this at first with how much it looked like P.T. and especially the static-y crying, but then those holes in the ceiling really got to me. The roaches falling through them was a nice touch too. I feel kind of ill just thinking about it now, haha. The way the shower curtain made the head of the mannequin(?) deform while it moved was also very cool; both that and the TV screen glitches were quite artistic looking. Good use of lighting, especially for someone's first game.

the way I was praying that Manly wouldn't zoom in, THEN HE DID 💀 doing me like that with the roaches was straight disrespectful LMAOO ✋️😭

Dude this game looks so realistic, masterwork quality

Nice for a first try (although I think the dev's not being entirely honest when he says he "made everything" himself). But very tropey and unpolished despite looking so sleek. The "Phone calls and it's spooky whispering and/or woman's cries" trope that's in EVERY haunted house game at this point, the peephole sequence, the tone-deaf animation that is more funny than scary etc.

seeing the roaches coming out from those holes succeeds on unnerving the shit outta me

Love the multiple entities aspect of this game, also i would rather take the man going through the tv than walking through that cockroach hallway ever again

I actually thought this was a really cool idea for a horror game. Lots of small but great elements to this, the shower scene and the freaking holes with roaches in the ceiling got to me. So good

There's only so many times you can see these stock assets before they start to ruin the experience... This game was NOT "made entirely by myself". 8:15 "quite the game now"

I appreciate that you still post regular horror game content instead of just “horror game but with anime girl” content even though that gets more views

The graphics in this are stunning. It had me “wow, so beautiful!” in the first half to screaming at the cockroaches in the ceiling.

I love the commitment to making this look as accurate to P.T. as possible. It's been awhile since I've seen a P.T. inspired game or P.T. fangame that visually looks exactly like the original beyond just having realistic graphics.

I played this as well! It's honestly beautiful and also the alien guy is so funny when it turns into a wavy inflatable balloon man 😂

This dev really tickled my horror bone because this is somehow the scariest game I've seen this month. I was especially on my edge by the cockroach part since I had a phobia of them & still hate 'em. Congrats, you made me uncomfortable the whole way through 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.

Ooh, this was an Unreal Engine 5 game! That explains why it (especially the bug part) looked so good.

4:56 looping buildings or hallways or other areas is not always related to P.T., but if there's a hallway with a phone in the corner, or if there's a hallway with a phone (or radio) pretty much anywhere in it, it's probably inspired by P.T. as those are *two* very specific things it has in common with P.T. instead of one. When it's just the looping of a hallway it can be coincidental. Someone can think "I should make a game about looping in a hallway and scary things happen" without even having heard about P.T..

That roach hallway was honestly one of the worst things I’ve seen in a horror game in a while lol. A really creative scare!

That shower sequence was interesting to me. Some of it's movements and when it collapsed at the end reminded of one of those push button puppets. So I was imagining someone in there with a bright light using one of those little toys to cast a shadow on the curtain.

I can’t help but think of the brain aneurysm meme whenever the monster is shifting around. So this game was hilarious to watch

The sound effects actually managed to put me on edge. I'll applaud it for that.

"Quite the game now" Indeed it was. Jokes aside, the movement and the way the bugs looked, moved, and the holes in the ceiling did give a good sense of an unsettling atmosphere. I think the "looking back through the peephole" is a... too obvious of a payoff. I think there could have been a more unsettling way to resolve that scene, but it was still good. The twitching was good, though I feel like it should end faster. The longer you let someone settle in a scene, the more they get used to it. The shower scene could have ended just as the twitching went erratic, but it went just a little too long. Overall, I feel like the creator has a good sense of understanding how to build atmosphere from a first game, and can do some pretty good work if they pushed ahead.
