Solo Ride Along Arizona's 89a | Swimming Holes | Eats | Historic Towns | Motorcycle Travel

#MotorcycleTrip #HarleyDavidson #WomenWhoRide
To beat the heat in the Phoenix Valley, I decided to take a solo motorcycle ride up to Sedona for a day to cool off at a swimming hole and enjoy a ride up the 89a. This was always my favorite loop to make when I lived in Arizona, so I figured, why not do it while I’m in town?! We'll also stop at a few places to eat that are always must-stops when I'm in any of these historic towns. #RideToFood

Nice video. Love the scenery. 👍. I can’t take the riding in the heat in Texas either. When it gets mid summer and near 100 degrees I ditch the riding gear and usually only ride around sunset into darkness. You’re not alone avoiding heat.

AZ heat is no joke. You were smart to be wary of it and end the video early. My wife and I live in the Valley and travel north to cool off as often as we can during these blistering summers. I love the Grand Canyon, we enjoy Route 66 through Williams, there's a good burger place in Flagstaff (The Northern Pines Restaurant), Sedona is too crowded and we just skip it... Jerome has The Haunted Hamburger. Some great spots in Prescott... the Lone Spur Cafe on Gurley Street for breakfast... and, my wife's favorite and best mac & cheese was found at the Prescott Brewing Company for lunch. I-17's best stop north of Phoenix is the Rock Springs Cafe at exit 242 for breakfast/lunch, and anytime for their famous homemade pies. Cooler temps travel, go to the four corners and get a Navajo Taco. AZ is such a scenic and diverse State... all roads lead to somewhere, and there's so much good food along the way. Enjoy! Peace. Pete

SOOO many good recommendations! I've been to a few of these! Definitely could spend a month riding in Arizona and still not scratch the surface on how much awesome food is out there! (And roads to ride, on and off pavement!) Thanks for watching and for the recs! :)

I really love the concept of your videos. Riding, food and great information about the area. I visited my sister in Phoenix around Christmas 2019 and we went to Sedona and Jerome as well. By car. When my sister drove back I really wanted to have my bike with me to ride these beautiful Twisties. Hope I can do that when Europeans can get in the US again. By the way.... The Haunted Burger in Jerome got some great dishes as well. Oh I really wanna be there 😅

"Conga line of cars" HAHA so funny but accurate description! We live in Cottonwood area and love this ride but it has gotten way crowded. We don't even like going to Sedona anymore but we may have to try that Acai bowl!

hahah its the most accurate statement I could think of. It was a hugeee bummer seeing how jam packed sedona was on that trip. It has changed so much since I lived in phoenix back in 2016! That acai spot was great! And it's on the south side of town, so you dont have to deal with too much traffic. :)

Great video, as always! Rode that area in early May during a 10 day CO-UT-NV-CA-AZ-NM-CO loop; the AZ stretch was beautiful but way too hot for my FL ass! Absolutely no shame in calling it a day early and grabbing a cold beer when it gets that warm.
