First thing I learned with these tents is to bring a good 18v impact driver and long, washered lag bolts for stakes. It makes setting up those beautiful beasts of a tent a lot faster and easier. Just passing the tip along. 👍Not a bad idea to bring a socket wrench too for manual backup just in case.

I just received my 10x10. Only set it up in my yard so far. Can’t wait to camp/hunt/fish out of it!

Get you some 3x3crubber furniture coasters so you don't indent ur vinyl floor with cot legs

We just bought our Kodiak vx 10×14. We are so excited to go camping in October. We set the tent in the backyard just for fun and practice. It was sooo easy tu put it together. Great video!❤

Thank you for the video, that was a lovely area to camp in. Can you incorporate into your videos some brief night time chat sitting around the camp fire telling us about any tales from your life which are inspiring, encouraging to your viewers? Thanks

I wish I got a 10x14 instead of the 10x10. Go big is my advice.

I do the same thing. Take my dogs camping as much as I can. Mostly in the winter since I'm in Florida. We have a lot of the same gear. Same 10 x 14 tent, w/ vestibule (+I have the 12 x 12 lodge tent with the 8 x 8 vestibule) same table, pots, cooler, small stove, Teton cot pad, & I have like 6 Teton sleeping bags. I went with the Teton XXL cots & a XXL disc-o bunk bed when I set up the lodge tent. I use canvas tarps from Harbor freight for the floor in the tent & the vestibule area. At night when you were cooking, you should have used some light. Love my Milwaukee 18v stuff, LED light, fan, USB adapter ect... What nice area you were at. Keep up the good work. Have fun!

Nice, I’ve never been to Florida in the winter but I imagine the weather is pretty nice. I’ve been thinking about getting a canvas tarp for the floor but haven’t yet. Those Teton bags are really nice! I actually had a light on when I was cooking but it’s not that bright, I’ll have to get one of those Milwaukee lights. Thanks for watching and the support!

Great video and an awesome looking tent. Question, is the floor thick and tough enough that you don't need a floor saver or mat?

Thank you, I appreciate your support! Yes, the floor is plenty thick enough.

A lot of people use an extra floor mat to put under the tent but really its not necessary unless there's really sharp objects on the ground. I guess better safe than sorry, plus it will likely extend the life of the tent. If you're worried about the floor on the inside, you should get a moving rug from harbor freight for like 6 bucks, this will make it much nicer inside and will protect the vinyl from furniture inside.

I am very surprised that you cook inside where you sleep. Are you not concerned about bears and the smell of food?

Not really, there aren’t any bears in southern California. There are Coyotes and stuff like that but they’re not too much to worry about. I wouldn’t be doing that in a place where bears are an issue.
