My 12yr old step daughter had a sleepover last weekend. All the kids were hanging out in the 'kids cave" in the basement. I hear some strange creaking sounds when I passed the stairs..... go down to see what they are up to. All 6 girls are swinging on 2x4 and paracord hanging seats hanging from the main carrying beam. Lol. I look around, and proudly chuckle. I ask Lily "who's idea? Who made the swings?". She says she showed everybody how to make their own. That she makes them all the time out playing in the woods. I completely forgot making one for her on a fishing outing last spring. She tried to copy it, but couldn't remember how..... told me she youtubed "how to make a bushcraft swing seat", and recognized the channel in the results from watching it with me a couple times. Decided that's the best one if Bonus Dad paid attention to it. Your knowledge is definitely sinking in on a new generation. They got a big kick out of how simple it is once you know a few tricks, and how to look at the task from the right perspective. Now they all want to build a pioneer fort in the woods this summer.

When my wife heard the silky saw, she said, "You're watching the Corporal". I told her to bring me a beer and some bacon. Highlight of my week.

There's nothing like a Corporals Solo overnighter in the woods! Another great one brother! You keep making them and I'll keep watching and living vicariously through you... LOL With my job and traveling like I do, I can't get out in the woods as much as I like. Till the next one.

I'm sorry man, but that community coffee, in my opinion socks. Again, sorry about that.

That pulley system is one of the sickest bushcraft hacks I've ever seen. I've learned so much from your videos. Thanks for the quality content

Corporals corner is my favorite bushcraft channel. He uses mule tape with a lot of builds and eats bacon with everything. What's not to like.

I hardly ever comment on videos but I feel compelled to after watching almost all of yours. You are the most dedicated bushcrafter on youtube hands down. I've been "bushcrafting" since before it became a buzzword and have lived off grid in Alaska for almost 20 years. I've also made and edited videos, so I know what goes into this. The amount of work that you put into this week after week, month after month, year after year is truly amazing. Hats off to you sir.

Hello Mr Kelly, I would like to Thank you for the AWESOME JOB YOU are doing showing us new things, taking the time and showing so we can go out and do this with my granddaughter. I made a bow drill and this last summer we made a fire using it, It was awesome seeing the look on her face of how proud she was. It made my day. THANK YOU AGAIN AND GOD BLESS YOU,,

I see the idea of leverage pulling the log up for the example. I also see the danger of hurting yourself in the process by just huffing the log. Your burning a lot of calories in the longer but safer process. How much friction is added by using carbineers vs turn blocks? Awesome vid!
