Beautiful place at the lake ! Gorgeous images minutes 13, 14, 15, and even when the sun is gone the scenery is charming with its tones of grey, black and white. Spectacular view of the 200 and more.... mosquitos. Luckily the spray protected well !

👋Hi there Norwegian Xplorer! Another awesome video as always. Very relaxing & very peaceful all around, but whereby those damn mosquitos are concerned, mosquitos & I do "not" get along whatsoever! They're like the vultures whenever they approach me!😄 Here's wishing you well. Cheers

Really good vid Jarl. Sure it's good to be back on a trail. Have some motorcycle friends who have been riding in the nearby areas for the past week or so. Spring finally has arrived. Along with the first hatch. They come out pretty hungry. Some new equipment? Beautiful lake. Some nice still water. Take care.

Thanks Sam, nothing new for this season that I can think of, but I bought a sled/pulka and a multifuel burner in April intended for the next winter season. Gonna be out on a 14 day trip in this area with my friends from last summer in a couple of weeks, excited about that, should be an awesome wilderness adventure
What a brilliant atmosphere my friend! This looks and sounds amazing, shots are so nicely executed!

Loved this video and your music just fits in well with it. Jarl do you do CDs of your music instead of downloading them? Would love to buy a CD of your music. Its very relaxing to listen to. Regards Matthew UK 🇬🇧

Thanks Matt, unfortunately I do not do CDs, that is something of the past, but you can download the albums on my Patreon page if you sign up there, and burn your own CDs. I can set up a link on Patreon to have all the albums accessible for download.
Can you tell us a little bit about the gear you’re using? Especially interested in the backpack and rainjacket.
@NorwegianXplorer
Жыл бұрын
It is a HMG southwest 70L Backpack, the rainjacket is from Arcteryx, one of the sturdy winter ones, forgot the name of it.
Just love the forest, lake, tress, and sky views. So calming. Too bad the Norwegian made backpacking food is not available here in the US. Generally, how much sodium is in one serving? Thanks.

Beautiful! Your photography and “eye” are top-notch. Ursack? - were you in Bear country or just trying out? Mice 🐁? Thermocell? What are your thoughts on effectiveness? I’ve been thinking about getting one. Instant coffee? Thanks for sharing your Adventures!

@@NorwegianXplorer Thank you! If you ever make it back to the US, I suggest the Adirondacks! Carbon copy of Nordic Countries. Matter fact, it once was before it “broke off” millennia ago. You would not be disappointed as it is rugged, gnarly, beautiful. It is the largest Park in the lower 48 of the United States at 6.2 million acres. It is larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier combined.

Haha! It is not that bad, but I filmed the whole process this time
are you living around oslo, if yes we can meet and go in for a hike
Is the Thermacell doing a good job? And question about the pants, can you explain why you chose a tight with shorts combo? Can be a good Option imho
@NorwegianXplorer
Жыл бұрын
Yes the Thermacell is priceless! I bring a wollen base layer and a shorts combo for camp use, since I also have rain pants in addition to the ones I wear when hiking I can mix and match depending on the weather.
Have to ask you the obvious question, insects, when is good for camping out and when is bad? Didn't seem too bad when you camped, but please share the nitty gritty. I am planning a motorcycle trip to Norway and would like to know.
@NorwegianXplorer
Жыл бұрын
The mosquitos will be very very extremely bad from June until mid August, you should bring headnet, spray and I highly recommend the Thermacell, it is wonderful, just give it 20 minutes to work. If you are alone you can split those little blue chips in two to make them last longer
What does ASMR stand for? Real Turmat meal is tastier & far more nutritious than a cheeseburger & fries purchased at any fad franchise. 19:35 - There it is, old faithful, your stove & coffee. That's the first time I've seen the inside of the cup with coffee, awaiting hot water. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

Thanks Bill, I have been meaning to ask you this, what are your favorite video types of mine, do you prefer something over something else or do you appreciate the variations? I see some of my audience gravitating towards anything with storm in it, but I want to make sure I know what my most appreciative viewers, like you Bill, enjoy to watch🙏

@@NorwegianXplorer Jarl, I like all your videos, those stormy overnights as much as your camper van outings as much as nice weather scenic videos. You've hit the sweet spot in all you do. And you let the scenes speak for themselves, no unwanted verbiage. Yes, I often double back & watch wildlife footage a 2nd or 3rd time. Lofoten is, by far, my most favorite video that I've watched in my lifetime which is why is sent a lil something extra. If or when you re-visit America, be sure to stock up on a supply of Peak Refuel freeze-dried meals; they'll at east rival & maybe surpass your Real Turmat meals in every way. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

Thank you so much Bill, really appreciate it, I am hoping to get to Lofoten again later this summer. In 2 weeks time I will meet up with my friends from last summer for a 2 week wilderness adventure, I think that will be a very scenic experience and should be some beautiful videos! I have to try those Peak Refuel meals!
