Solo Camping like a Voyageur in a Canoe Shelter - Snow and Below Freezing
First Time on the water this year with my Canoe “Patches” She's a Beauty of a Vessel.
I picked her up from an outfitter last year, sure she's got holes but that just adds to her character and Mystique.
Patches and I spend a Night out cooking Bushcraft Jalapeno Poppers and hanging out by the campfire where we experience Snow Winds and Bellow freezing Temps.
This is a fun one so I hope yall enjoy

Just curious, would you ever get in a boat named "Patches"?

@@XanderBudnick I first noticed those when I started watching one of your winter camping videos. things like having the camera up when you go to bed or a static shot as you trecked past a particularly beautiful area. Honestly, realising that you're walking to the camera spot, setting up your camera and tripod, then walking back and getting the shot, then going back for it and carrying on, all the while making sure your footprints in the snow don't show, if anything added to my respect for you. rather than ruining the mystery.

Fantastic use of drone footage! It gets overused in a lot of video genres, but it's a great way to establish a sense of place and the beauty of nature in this sort of video.

That voyageur setup is pretty cool , simple and effective if you dont have the wind blowing all direction when its often the case in april , the month of every weather in the same day ... And like wine you are getting better and better in each video , I was happy to see a Xander notification when I woke up this morning , makes my day 🤗 , merci pour la vidéo , à bientôt

It was super comfy - It was nice having a wall like that - aye the wind did blow all over but i was more or less protected hehe cheers friend!!!!! and thanks for your comment once again :D
While I commend you for picking a spot so exposed to wind and cold for a more aesthetic viewing experience, I have to say I never choose those conditions myself except when natural cover like trees and terrain to protect from wind aren't available. People really underestimate just how much colder it gets close to water compared to having the extra wind protection from a handful of trees. Really well produced video, subscribed and can't wait to see more.
