Ma'am, you have done this tired old world a great service in posting these. I bought the series years ago and don't begrudge one cent spent even though the series is now available here because for all these years I have been able to binge-watch this series at least once a year. I think I appreciate the series more now than I did sixty-five years ago.
I was looking for this show for a long time. Saw it in the '50s as a kid. Great show. Thanks so much for posting.
I echo the feelings expressed here, loved this show as a kid. Obviously never watched it with a critical eye, but as a kid in the 50's the adventure of it all was what we loved. We used to play act adventures of our own in the areas open around our homes. Thanks for putting these on. Don't look with a modern, informed eye, try to view them as a kid in the 50's. The number errors and nonsense amuse me now I have lived in 5 different African countries over the point 2 decades. Regardless, errors aside, a fun group of memories.
Wasan't aware of this series very nice and thanks for posting.
The great John Russell from lawman
Thanks so much Susie!! This takes me back to yesterday when I was a little boy.
Thanks for the SoF downloads Susie. I recall seeing this show when I was a kid in the 50's. Its fun to verify your memories that far back.
Great to see these. Thank you. Many of the first season shows are mislabled, but you can sometimes see the correct title when you start the video. Hope someday the missing four or five episodes will show up. Thanks again!
FAB extended tracks of 50s oh so 50s dramatic music. Although 'stock' tracks, some were used as 'early times' TV overlays (dubbed) in for other 50s tv shows, most identifiably the ones used recurrently in the S1 Ep1 segment here was used in abbreviation on Alfred Hitchcock's first runs in the 55-56 years. COOL McCool!!! Sadly, mich of the provenance of the 50s dramatis personae for many programs is broken, truncated, or lost entirely, except for the film tracks themselves. Planet earth is still big, so maybe they'll surface somewhere COMPLETE. I'm going to keep giving It the good 'ol sleuthing, college try 😂 lol.
Used to watch this every week as a 10 year old.
new to this series that ran for two years. John Russell of course went on to star in "Lawman" ('58-'62). In first grade, ('61-'62) had Lawman man lunch box.
GREAT WORK Susie, haven't seen these shows since 7yoa
*LAWMAN* brought me here. Thank You! Just finished watching the first episode here. All *Lily* *Merril* and I see is *Dan* *Troop.*
Thank you.
Anyone remember an episode where Tim has to win a chess game to gain Toubo's release? At least that's what I think I remember.
Hm. So many references to Savannah animals in the jungle. 🤔
WRONG TITLE. This is The Gaboon Viper, Season one, Episode 2, original air date 17 January 1955

In high school I was always fascinated with snakes, definitely not a Gaboon Viper. If you look closely at the head you'll notice the lack of where the venom glands would be.. That being said certainly a snake to be reckoned with as some 20,000 natives sucomb to their bite yearly because of the inhospitable terrain in getting anti venom to a bite victim. Another interesting fact, the Gaboon Viper has the longest fangs of any snake measuring as long as 2 inches which means when they bite their venom is being put extremely deep into whatever part of the body they "hit' you. Between Cobras and Gaboon Vipers easily 50,000 very painful deaths occur from their bites yearly.

@@harryjohnson5928 They weren't about to use a deadly snake in these shows

@@michaeldanello3966 Actually in the movie "The Black Stallion" they used a real King Cobra. If you look real close at the scene on the beach where the boy falls in the sand and looks up right into the face of the King you can see the boy's reflection on the piece of glass between him and the King.

NO, there aren't. And the Gaboon vipers are found in sub-Saharan Africa. Evidently the director just added some "jungle" footage
