The third chakra is known as the manipura, and is located in the solar plexus region above the navel centre and below the ribs. When this chakra is balanced it inspires confidence and will that arises from the transformative energies of fire (agni). On a deeper level, this chakra helps to develop healthy self-esteem, and teaches you to stand in your centre and shine your light without fear. This practice will guide you through yin yoga postures, colour visualization and the seed (bija) mantra RAM for the third chakra.

    Thank you. It’s a very good sequence. I like mongoose pose. I do want to ask though in the sitting pose where you shift the body to the left or right side ... should the opposite hip stay grounded ?

    Hi Maryse, that's a great question. Yes, in general, it's always good to anchor in two opposite directions when coming into a posture, and then you can release into the stretch. If you notice your opposite hip lifting off the ground, you can always add an extra cushion to keep a sense of rooting 🙏
