Solar Electric City Car for Urban Mobility
This is the world’s first solar city car for daily mobility needs. It’s easy like a moped with the comfort and security of a car.
With a footprint of only 2.4 m², you can fit three SQUAD solar cars in one traditional parking spot, plus you can easily cross park it between larger cars like you would a moped or motorcycle.
The SQUAD is propelled by two, 2 kilo Watt rear in-wheel motors, which are powered by four swappable 1.6 kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery packs. The result is a compact solar electric vehicle that can travel 62 miles on all four packs. The solar panels on the SQUAD’s roof can garner an additional 12.4 miles of range a day.
The solar car provides space for two tall passengers plus luggage, totaling 68 liters of cargo space. Large windows provide a panoramic view while the side doors are removable for extra airflow on beautiful days.
Other features include dashboard space for your bag or laptop, cup holders, a phone holder, and a USB charger. The SQUAD is designed towards L6 and L7 homologation. The 28 mph L6 for two persons and the 43.5 mph L7 for up to 4 people. No car drivers license for the L6 is needed in most countries. The company is currently taking pre-orders for the two seater version.

...I couldn't watch it past 28 seconds...Every time some micro car promoter says you can cross park it between parked cars, making it difficult for the other 2 drivers to get their cars out...What kind of people do you attract with this kind of "option" of being an a**hole? I'll just stick to my Hover X Pod ;)
