So I'm newer to the game. I have a r7 Echoing shade 4/5 and went heavy on rc event. Have a couple 2* at rank 10. If selling all unbound ( which makes sense) where do you get your gem power from? Just the one bound pack you mentioned?

You can extract the power at the jewel crafter or use your gems for gem power

Yes a mega whale tested in my server cluster

I should be the example of how not to whale. When I started the game I decided I didn’t want to be a full whale so I would settle with all 3/5 star gems bc they were cheaper. Also. At the time I thought buying the 100$ orb pack and using the orbs to transfer into 75k platinum was the best way. So I did this. Till I had all 3/5* gems. Then as time went on and I leveled the gems up I didn’t realize how much of a reso disadvantage I was at. So I figured hey… let’s exchange to four star gems. So then still buying 75k plat at a time I turned my gems into four star gems. THEN finally was told about the 200$ orb pack. And now I’m ashamed of myself. Which is deserved…. as I’m now currently turning all my four star gems…. Into five star gems Sigh

You need to work on your pets! It will make a hugeee difference in BG! You can get +8% crit chance and 12% of Primary attacks just from your pets!

Pets are helpful, but those effects are also strifed in BG, so you're not getting as much bang for your buck. Will it give you an advantage? Yes, but it's not that much. Also, because you can only stack so many of the legendary traits, you're not going to get the 8% and the 12% etc, you have to pick and choose and that also depends on the available traits for the differing pets.
