I believe the affix is not a new gem slot. This sounds more like a magical attribute that is attached to a piece of gear in the same manner accursed gear, ancestral gear, and terror gear. Since it states weapons, it might be only located on a weapon and could even be stacked on both

i think the word affix is essence. it describes the items the same way as it usually does in previous notes.

I hope there is a new gem slot . I'd like to get my 3k wings . I am free to play .

Chinese notes elude to them being main hand essences that can be obtained in any difficulty.

Hi youtube Edit: OK, it's sounds like a new magic Affix for Eternal legendary gear, and new modified animations for attacks. I think new slots would be clear as day in the title and announcement. The new familiar is focused for PVP with it's immobilisation attack.

But a magic affix that can disrupt an essence ? I also thought about it but it wouldn't work properly. Imagine the Wizard case for example, where you have the chest essence to have the fire lightning nova, + you have a weapon with that alleged magic affix, also for lightning nova, would that overwrite the essence? Would the skill have 2 diff applications at the same time? I don't think so. I'm also someone who's believing that should be a new slot, like when they introduced Inferno difficulties.

It would make sense to add another slot, with the second new 5* we have gotten in the span of weeks. I mean…. They want people to spend on it, right? You would think they would announce such a massive thing, though. This would likely entice people to save to spend. This game is so weird sometimes.

Ok I have helmet, 2x main hand, pants and shoulders on monk. One word- dissapoitment.... 4 allies on skills telling me- summon 4 fire allies- I summon 4 but normal allies xD wtf ?

Maybe the new pet can only be dropped from contracts acquired after the patch. Wouldn't surprise me. Done that to items before
