    It’s astounding how much of a difference to your mental health a move can make. When you find a location you love and a space that suits your needs it feels like you can finally breathe. You both seem lighter than you have in a while, and that alone makes the stress of moving more than worth it.

    I'm a bit late to the party, but the first reason they mentioned was that most of the southern states don't line up with their ideals. Most southern states are republican- love guns, hate education, hate equality, hate diversity, hate anyone who isn't straight and white. That's my guess anyway.

    I completely understand, when the pandemic started we started working from home and sleeping in the same room you have to work in took a toll on our mental health, we had to make a home office space so when we were done work, we closed that door and the rest of the house was just our home to relax in.

  • @mullaoslo

    @mullaoslo

    I seriously don't get how anyone who lived in a HOUSE during the pandemic can complain about their living situation.. I've spent the entire pandemic in a studio apartment with no balcony, garden or any relief from the room that's also my office except for a teeny tiny bathroom...

  • @robertwolfgan

    @robertwolfgan

    @@mullaoslo Mm maybe some people or most people are more eco-social than others, like you can be either extrovert or introverted but still have this level of mental interaction with your surroundings that has to meet certain standards in order to feel healthy or stress relief. I say this because where I am from, hahaha, work is literally one step away from slavery with "some" civil rights... So I literally was MORE than the happiest in my life these past couple of years I was working in my 1 room of roughly 4meters x 9meters with no windows and a 60watt light bulb as my light source. Doing my work a step away from my bed was one of the best things ever. But this is me, someone that like many of my peers, has a horrible job where food is disgusting and overpriced, social interactions were a big nono during work hrs (9-12hrs shifts 6days a week), and not even being able to freaking go to the bathroom for more than 15mins A DAY. That's it, that was the limit, if you have diarrhea I'm sorry for you, either manage those 15mins within your whole shift somehow or go home and get that whole day discounted of pay no matter how many hours you've put already. Oh and that's also a strike on your contract, you only have 2 more of those to use in over 3months or else you're fired and here we don't have what the USA calls "collect unemployment" so you're pretty much screwed since job is scarce everywhere. And no, the pay is not that good either, it's barely enough to survive which is why I'm writing this with a handed down 129dlls phone. So yeah, I could say more but if you read all up to this point I think you have the general idea as to why working home for me has been like a dream. It's all a matter of perspective in the end.

    @@shadow4040 Maybe some people don't think too much before they talk specially here on the internet I see that "trend" to grow since it comes easy for most, but as they grow in maturity they might understand later on that what they thought was harmless opinion, was in fact a kind of subconscious envy that wasn't fully developed to be perceived by them at the time. Because other than that, I find no other 'logical' explanation. Of course, behaving illogically is another explanation on itself, which I wouldn't be surprised with the current mentality of growing generations.

    I felt this video to my core. I am from Phoenix Arizona, big city loved it. I got married and moved to South Eastern Kentucky where the nearest movie theater was 2 hrs away. There was 12 places to eat and not alot else to do. My wife and I wanted to stay in the area as she has 2 kids that was younger at the time and wanted to stay for the family. Lived there 5 years and we took a little Vacation in Cincinnati and we had such a good time. On our drive back we started talking about " would you want to live here" and those conversations turned into "we are doing this" and we moved and it has done SO much for our mental health. To have so many options back, going out to eat, movies, local game stores for board games. It restored our interest in gaming because its no longer the only thing we do.
