Best of luck on your travels! I was so close to visiting Japan at one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit South East Asia.

Tbh, I'm glad you did this! You and Kim deserved this trip after *looks at history*, after everything that has happened. Plus, you got to do it with friends who are big gaming nerds like you and Kim. All in all, you had fun and you got to grab some stuff you never thought you'd grab (plus, super jealous on some of the games as that's expensive here in the US.) I honestly would suggest the next time you do a trip to Japan, plan another visit to Super Nintendo World (when the Donkey Kong expansion opens), visit some more gaming shops (shopping is good for you btw), see some of the more obscure museums/exhibits devoted to some stuff like Nippon Cup Noodles, Osamu Tezuka's works, etc. OH! And the ghibli park (the actual outdoor park that you can walk around, not to be confused with the Ghibli Museum)

I was a bit concerned about how you and Kim were dealing with the anxiety there, coz I've been to Japan and it can get quite overwhelming there, specially at video game stores.. so many lights blinking, so much noise.. it can be a lot.. at the same side, there's also these beautiful parks in the middle of the city were you can just go in and recenter. You are both amazing for doing it. Be very proud! It was hard and you did it!!

I like seeing the real relatable person Wood talking about the stuff he faces. So that's awesome to see the story of a guy who worked hard, doing something he loves. That becoming his career allowing him to be with the woman he married has a home, nice animals. And gets to do something this insanely cool with his friends. It's honestly inspiring for someone like me that's wanted to hopefully one day obtain something like this.

There was a Surugaya a few blocks from my apartment in Sapporo when I was living there, and I got so many goodies from there! The prices were better than my local bookoff and they had so much rare stuff - we got our gamecube and n64 from there too!

Cannot agree with you more dude. Trips to Japan make my heart feel full also. So much so that I have genuinely teared up whenever I've had to leave. Trip no.5 is happening for me sometime... no idea when right now... but I know it's happening and I can't wait to recharge my love for the country when I return. Great series and glad you had a wonderful time.

As someone with a lot of mental health issues, I've found travel really really helps my mental state. When I'm away i just don't have the same issues as i do at home, where i spend my life avoiding people. I feel like its a bit of escapism for me and it really helps alot, so you may find the same thing. The real mystery is after travelling as much as i have, why haven't i got to Japan myself? i think i used to think it was expensive.... but its not anymore expensive than other places I've been, the shopping might make it expensive :-) so i think i'll get there next year sometime!

I love your Japan videos. I found your channel just before your first visit. I vote you make this a yearly series and go every year.

*Surugaya is by far the BEST store in JAPAN nowdays!* Even better than BOOK OFF and HARD OFF in my opinion, which used to be cheaper...
