Seriously if you're a Half-Life fan and you've got a couple of hours to spare I really do recommend this mod. Without a doubt the best single player Half-Life mod I've played.

Fun fact: the animation of the janitor sitting down on the ground and shaking his head looks like it's taken from the German version of the game, where scientists would sit down in exactly that pose and shake their head when the player killed them. You know, instead of actually dying. Because apparently the censors thought killing your own co-workers is a no-no, so you can't kill them, only make them shake their heads at your shenanigans.

German here. As a matter of fact, Half Life was one of the games that enhanced my english skills. Because 11 years old me had the english version of the game, thanks to my uncle. Only played the "good" version a few years later when i bought the Half Life Collection V3 in store.

You blended lore with detailed realism, yet added a layer of horror that was not seen within the original Half-Life. I was absolutely shitting myself the entire time. Amazing!

4:42 at that point I was sold -this mod seems like 10/10 material. When the modder knows how to insert a joke and even then sell the mod as "serious", you know you're dealing with someone who ought to be paid for his work.

Meanwhile Aperture got bankrupt lost most of profit , they had to take homeless people and it was all around 1970-1980s . Then the owner died ,when BM could also steal lotta of stuff from Aperture as there were now no people who could sue em . Sad thing tho.

This mod is fucking amazing, hands down the single best Half Life mod I've ever seen, with the most creative use of scripting and AI and a good mix of sheer terror and comedy. Godamn it makes you mad that Valve just up and abandoned Half Life when clearly so many people still enjoy and want to see more of the setting and what can be done with it that they went and made something like this which feels and looks so professionally made it could be a godamn expansion pack to the original game. I really like the idea they went with, the player as someone who is just witness to the resonance cascade this time, and getting to see what that was like the moment shit happened, really fun mod

I'm fairly certain that the bullsquid was doing EXACTLY what you thought it was to the guard. Some supplementary material regarding bullsquids says that they will eat or attempt to mate with anything they see. We never saw it attempt to do the latter in the main games but it sounds like they're doing exactly that here. Why the modder decided to show us something we'd all be better off not seeing is beyond me but there is indeed canon basis for it.

@@Garangus can't remember where, but from what I remember one of the designers son/his friend's son liked to draw and while the kid was in college the designer saw his drawings and they were fucked up, Mr friendly was one of these drawings I think. I might be wrong though as I can't remember too well plus I'm also really high right now so maybe I'm not a very coherent sauce atm.

Thr irony was not lost on me. Partially recognized Mr Friendly at that moment but when you finally see him...I was yelling run at my computer.

God damn the devs poured their hearts into this mod. Looks amazing! Nice commentary as usual Jolly.
