So I bought an electric truck... Rivian R1T Ocean Coast (LE)!
I bought an electric truck! This is the Rivian R1T Ocean Coast Interior - Launch Edition. I pre-ordered this truck in early 2019 as I've been watching the electric truck market for sometime. I hoped that my next vehicle would be a truck and specifically and electric one! I didn't cover all of the specs about the truck in this video as that's been done by many others, but it has 4 motors (one in each wheel) and does 0 - 60 in 3 seconds! It's just something you have to experience to appreciate.
Feel free to ask any questions away in the comments and I'll try and answer as many as I'm able or know the answers to! While I'm as happy as a kid in a candy shop, the most important things are life are my family and little kids riding with me. The giggle and shrills are better than anything else life can offer, even a new truck. :)

OC 2.0 looks great! Congrats on your delivery.
The black speaker covers don't look bad . It looks better then in pictures, when you step back and see the whole thing it contrasts well with everything else.
I like the ocean coast mixed with black wood more than the original ocean coast.

Specced my GW R1T with OC interior as well. It looks more on the gray side, unlike Tesla’s white interior. Thanks for sharing!

Good luck with the white seats. My 2009 Volvo has a creme leather seating surface. I worked hard in the beginning to keep it clean, but about 3 years into the vehicle (I had a 3 and 1yo when I got it) it began to not come clean. I've tried all kinds of products over the years and now, 13 years later, they just look bad. Car will become my 16yo's vehicle as soon as my Rivian comes up. I've heard there are products you can put on now that will make cleaning easier, but eventually you'll see the wear. I'm opting for the green interior. I have not decided on an exterior color yet.
I wonder why the R1T & R1S rear seats are perforated if they aren't ventilated. With kids, it would've been great for these to be without perforation for easier cleaning
The windshield washer fluid is not the only fluid, you also have brake fluid or coolant for the battery or the electric motors

Definitely curious to see if it holds up with the kiddos. Wife wasn't a fan of white for that reason, but she loves the looks in person..
I figured only people with no kids had white/light interiors. You proved me wrong, congrats!

Yeah, I'm going to roll it myself, but luckily I have an electrician neighbor who is going to help me do the 'live hot wiring' part, that I'm not confident enough with.
How's the truck now that you've had it for a while?
What would you consider the actual OC color? White, Gray, ..etc?

Still have it. Plan on keeping it for a couple of years at least, maybe till she dies.
It's been awhile, how has the oc interior held up?

Surprisingly well. A quick wipe down every couple of weeks and that's about it.
The batteries are liquid cooled

Putting your foot on the accelerator is overblown. Your car will move forward on its own in drive.

Rivian and Tesla are the only two real competition in the US EV market. Everything else is a joke.

Agree here. Rivian seems to be the only real 2nd to Tesla at this point.
Rivian did the old bait and switch by removing the R1s Explorer version so they could raise the price and offer the Adventure version with the low range battery. Don't be fooled yall, this company is doing fraudulent practices and should be ashamed of themselves. I cancelled my order.
BIG MISTAKE...! The company is about to go bankrupt soon...!

They have cash on hand for several YEARS of severe losses. I think they'll be fine.
