Which interior is your favorite? Black Mountain, Forest Edge, or Ocean Coast - for me, I’m loving the Ocean Coast!

Ocean Coast! I've pre-ordered a Compass Yellow R1S with the Ocean Coast interior and I think it's going to look great

Forest Edge - ESPECIALLY since they got rid of the light wood color in Ocean Coast. I was on the fence between the two for a long time, before deciding on Forest Edge. Then Rivian ruined Ocean Coast by removing the light wood (heck, if they had just used the mid-tone wood from Forest Edge it would be fine,) and I was so happy I stuck with Forest Edge. (Plus it meant my truck arrived sooner. It was a long enough delay waiting for Forest Edge!) But my truck is "Forest Green", so the vaguely-green interior works with it. With a "monochrome" truck, especially white, Ocean Coast might work better.

Rivian nailed it with the darker wood on the OC but that white airbag cover is really hideous. REALLY!

I can’t wait to get mine! Unfortunately it’s going to be a while but I switched to the Ocean Coast interior

I might be a bit biased, but I LOVE the Ocean Coast interior even if it could be even better with a few small changes. Glad you like it as much as I do!

I love the ocean coast, and your color combo is exactly what I wanted. But I ended up getting silver / black for faster delivery. Did you sell your polestar yet? My husband has the polestar and he’s a small car guy. but he loves my rivian so much that hes been taking my rivian.

That Ocean coast looks amazing. Agree on the steering wheel, but Rivian knocked it out of the park on this interior.

I feel differently regarding the look of the steering wheel. I think the contrast created by the two different colors makes it more interesting visually.

i have claustrophobia....and white interiors, and especially white headliners, are my favorites.

We have an Ocean coast with forest green exterior on the 20” AT down here in Littleton, CO. Looks similar to one you reviewed at the first mile event.

The wood is Ash wood. I have an L.A. silver with the black mountain interior and love the combination.

Fully agree that the airbag and headliner color should remain dark. It also increases production costs have 3 different color air bag modules and headliners. I predict Rivian will be making a change for 2023.

LOVE the new ocean coast interior. Already switched my configuration from black mountain.

Kyle, I think that the first Rivian truck that I saw in the wild was yours, driving up Eisenhower in Loveland 4 or 5 months ago. Great looking truck and I think the style will age well. Will look forward to your future Rivians on your channel.

Ocean Coast would be my choice. I regret not ordering a Rivian back before they raised the price.

11k vin as well with OC. Totally agree. Said the same thing about the steering wheel. It should be all black. Never thought about the roof shade. Fits well. The seat color in the video is authentic. The camera shot looks like it has a filter but the seats are a very light gray with a slight bluish tint. Beautiful interior overall. Now add Netflix, KZread and Sirius for charging waits.

I got green exterior with green interior on order, likely late next year, luckily locked in the pre-order pricing...max pack and all.

I agree with the dark steering wheel but prefer light headliner.

For someone that doesn't care about style, Kyle is a definite fashionista.

I ordered the OC, just bummed they used black speaker grills. Their own design renders don't show black speaker grills.

Regarding the wheel and tire videos, would be interested to see if you can find and test a more efficient tire for the 20 inch wheels.

Of course there are more efficient options they are just no longer good offroad tires

Im very concerned about the Max Pack R1T not happening. I have a 1/19 preorder with a first half of 2023 delivery window. I’m also Ocean Coast and hopefully they switch to black pillars, headliner, and airbag cover.

Good catch. I didn’t even see the phone holder. I need my Waze and I currently have an obtrusive windshield mount that my husband dislikes.

The light center on the wheel is why I opted out of Ocean Coast. It's even worse now that the light wood grain is gone. Love the light headliner but hate the wheel

I am a big fan of all of Rivian's interior colors: but Forest Edge has my top vote. I'm surprised that you two didn't see the appeal of the Compass Yellow exterior and Forest Edge interior. On the surface, I'll admit it seems like a horrible idea. But seeing actual photos of that combination, it looks really good! Have you seen the CY and FE in person and didn't like it? I still am conflicted about my perfect build, but it will have the max pack. 1) It's either Compass Yellow (CY shows the least amount of dirt and dust, and still stands out when on the road) with Forest Edge (I love the outdoor nature of the browns/greens, and I find it pairs well with CY). 2) Canyon Red with Ocean Coast is another phenomenal pairing! 3) The classic Rivian Blue with Black Mountain interior is a clean and ageless combination. What is everyone else's dream combination?

So, have you looked into the smallest wheel size that can fit over the brakes? 19s? Id love to see some SCS F5s or nomads or fifteen52 on a rivian but afraid they dont go that big

I disagree about the headliner, love the light headliner.

Rivian, please make steering wheels all black. The color matched air bags are seriously horrendous. Whoever thought of that should be removed from the design team! Also, please get grey speaker grills for the A pillar for Ocean Coast. I like the idea of getting rid of the lighter headliner too. Come on Rivian - simplify your assembly line!

I'm too rough on/careless with vehicles for a light interior. Love the look but wouldn't work for me.

I much prefer black headliners because it hides dirt and stuff easier. A guy at work has a Model 3 and has only had it about 4 or 5 moths and the passenger side headliner near the visor has make up smudges on it already. I do not understand why something you will be touching fairly regularly is such a light color.

I would have loved the light gray wood. I also think it is not real wood. Other youtubbers have claimed they confirmed it is not real.

Prefer the Light colored Headliner, gives cars a bigger feel. Black makes them more confined feeling. IMO… White with the Ocean “was” my combination, until I cancelled the order back in March before the announcement of the price increase. Was just too much out of pocket, in hind sight should of bought it and sold it for a profit. Oh Well.

While I like it too, something about the white steering wheel center feels WRONG.

I like the white interior, but unfortunately my kids would make that truck look like a shit box in less than a day. 😂. Got to stay with black interior.

Definitely need to limit all steering wheels to black. Would be even better if Rivian simplified their builds and only offered different colored seats while keeping everything else black.

I don't think the other trick sits higher at all.

I'm surprised the psi is so high..i keep my car tires at 40psi and i think that is a rough ride.

I personally hate dark interiors.

"of coarse we want to get aftermarket wheels"...it blows my mind how people think aftermarket wheels are cool, or better. Companies spend mega money designing the wheels and they choose the tires that work the best with each vehicle.

The Ocean Coast looks great. You indicated the steering wheel and he'd lined should be black. It's not a bachelor pad and you and others have women in their lives, so having a matching color interior. Thanks for giving us your man card. Sure glad Rivian had actual interior designers.

That's not Ocean Coast - it's Black Mountain with light grey seats. They should change the name. The second the light wood was killed I went to Forest Edge.

The white looks way better than Tesla, Tesla looks cheap. It actually is cheap for the price of a luxury car, they give you corolla quality.
