🔥 Snow Plow Truck Overheating 🔥

Ойын-сауық

#snowplow #snowplowing #plowproblems
Tired of your plow truck overheating? Any time you have a plow on your truck it runs hotter because the plow blocks the natural air flow into the engine. This product solves that problem by redirecting the airflow around your plow and into your engine thus protecting your engine from unwanted overheating.

Just bought a set for my V plow. They seem kinda pricey, so I hope they work! The ol 1500 Silverado gets pretty warm on the highway. I live out in the sticks, so it’s always on the highway…

Hello, I just had these installed on Sept 2nd 2022 on my Western Enforcer V plow. I drove both Hwy & city driving to get home. The temp was around 84 degrees that day in Michigan and the drive was about 45 minutes home. I have a 2014 Silverado 1/2 ton with a 2 inch Rough Country level kit/ with springs. It worked perfect, the gauge moved up just a little and no issues at all. Well worth it and they look great and match the Western plow color perfect. I am very happy and give them a 5 star rating.. Anything we can do to help keep the engine cool is a plus. Hope this helps!!

@@bennyrosalez6648 thanks for the info brother! That’s great news, it gives me some hope! I basically have the exact same setup. 08 Silverado with 2” up front and air bags in back for towing. Running a Boss HTX V. Sucks to have to take the plow off to just run to town quick.

It depends on the series. The Cyclone series which is for light duty plow trucks only has one air deflector. The hurricane series is for heavy duty plow trucks and has two air deflectors. Check out plowflowmaster.com for additional info on the different models.

Is this really such a huge issue? I myself have only had plows on big trucks and tractors, but my diesel car has more issues maintaining the correct temperature in cold temperatures... Most of the time the engine will be too cold.

  • @SnowMenShow

Yes, many people have had issues with overheating including us. You may not realize it but with a plow on your truck it is running hotter than without a plow.

Snow Men well I can imagine the problem, but as I said, when it comes to cold temperatures I rather have issues with engines running too cold. Maybe US cooling systems are layed out different to European ones?!?

The Ford has never overheated with the plow on it but with the PlowFlowMaster it runs cooler. Torrey had a Chevy diesel that would overheat whenever there was a plow on it. Its nice to see you are passionate about something like GMS but it is actually pretty common thing for GMs to overheat with a plow on them. If you go to the PlowFlowMaster.com website you will see that GM has actually endorsed PlowFlowMaster.

If you think GMs don't overheat you are delusional. Any truck with a plow on it runs hotter. Here is some visual proof that GMs do overheat kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKqArpSqc7y5fco.html and this one too kzread.info/dash/bejne/nGego8dvnLvIm9Y.html You brand specific truck lovers crack me up. I will plow snow with any truck any day and make a ton of money doing it!

First time I ran into an overheat with the 2015 Chev 1500 was down the turnpike Christmas night at 65 mph coming back from my sons after delivering christmas gifts. Pulled right over and the overheat went away and the temperature gauge promptly came right down. The overheat alarm said to shut down the engine but I felt it was better to keep it running to keep the coolant circulating. I think I was right. The rest of the way home I drove very slow on the turnpike, 50 - 55 mph but fortunately there was not much traffic. I have a Fisher SD 7, 6". I frequently travel out to our woodlot in the winter which is about 75 miles away but it is over secondary highways at varied speeds, not on the turnpike at constant high speed. Oddly I did not have any problem covering the same route going to my sons. I think the wind direction and velocity must play a role as a strong crosswind should help airflow cooling.
