Jacobs Ladder is fun at 2am as a mountain employee returning from beverages and dinner in Launceston with a car full in the falling snow 👌👍. A season or 2 working at the Ben is a memorable experience

Mount Ossa in the Cradle Mountain national park is the highest mountain, a couple hundred metres higher than Ben Lomond

That’s exactly why they kept it quiet!
Snow chains are not just good in the snow but if you doing clay work or somewhere slippery mud snow chains come very handy. Have you got a Muddy area or somewhere clay put your snow chains on then put your diff locks on what you drive through everybody else is battling.

Hi Jacob's Ladder is what the locals call it. It is a switch back as you say :) It is a scary drive with boulders that roll onto the road however there are permanent machines there to push the boulders over the edge to clear the road.
Watched your beach episode and it seems like you were having to drive through some very salty water. How do you wash the cars off afterwards to make sure they don't wither away?

Was feet he was talking about. Ben lomond not that high in tassie. Down west coast mountains are 4-5000 feet.

@@nickk5731 no probs he confused me when he referred the mountain as Ben Lomond when it is Legges Tor. Areas of ground elevation are indicated in metres.

Such confusing commentary. There is no way it’s only 200feet and it isn’t “a” Jacobs ladder. A jacobs ladder is a mythological term and this road is named after it.
