Quality video. Of course, what always helps to learn difficult shots, is to set those shots up and play them over, and over, and over, until you can't miss them (taking tips from this video will of course speed up the process!). You can buy hole punch reinforcers from eBay, and you'll get like 500+ stickers for literally a few pounds, they're little doughnut-shaped stickers that are like 1cm in diameter that are perfect for sticking on the cloth to mark ball positions and can be easily picked off when you're finished with them, so you can use them down the club. Mark the ball positions on a shot you want to practice, so you can set the cue ball and object ball into exactly the same positions every time, and if you miss the shot, take a note of where you think you went wrong, then set the shot back up and try again. If you do make the shot, keep playing it. Getting good at aiming certain types of shot is all about getting it into your memory bank so you know where to aim just by memory when you see the shot. If I'm learning a shot, I like to try and pot it 20 times in a row before I leave the table. I consider cushion shots a strength of mine now, because I've practised them so much. I used to set up cushion shots at either a 3/4 ball, 1/2 ball or 1/4 ball angle, and initially just trying to pot the ball every time, then eventually when I got good at that I worked on predicting the cue ball angle off the cushion when different types of spin were used and practised potting the ball and cannoning a ball by the pink spot in various positions.

You're a brilliant snooker player and if I were given three wishes, one of them would be to play as well as you. Having said that *please* do something about that room. It's depressingly stark - almost like a jail cell. Put some paintings, photos and curtains on the walls - and dump the clutter. Thanks for the videos, BTW. Since watching them, I've improved my game substantially. You're a really good snooker coach.

Your videos are well done. A lot of thought and extra work has gone into creating the videos you put out for us to see. So thanks for that. This video was interesting to me just because I'm a curious sort of fellow and knowing about the esoteric aspects of snooker fascinates me. I only play in the U.S. so I don't play snooker unfortunately. One thing about the tip of your cue. It looks mushroomed a bit. I don't know how you can stand shooting with a tip like that. Whenever my tip starts to mushroom I notice it immediately and I sand it off.

I've cut a brown tight on the baulk cushion two foot right into the green pocket from the opposite end of the table with the white tight on the top cushion. I walked round and looked at the shot before playing it with a load of side so the guy I was playing didn't call it a fluke .the white was exactly opposite the brown 12 ft away .

Have been watching your video's during this period of isolation. Very interesting. It looks like your tip is larger than the ferrule is this an illusion. Is it just the way you like your tip or is it to increase tip size on a small ferrule?

You know that you mention impact throw. I once asked a snooker coach if I should compensate for the change in potting angle that comes with the cueball speed but he dismissed it as not a thing. Do you compensate for it?
