    Hey break from life, Jason from Denver Colorado here. Just wanted to let you know that your videos have helped me immensely with my billiards game and just a few days ago won me a tournament for a thousand dollars. Before I found you all I was doing was poking a ball with a stick and wishful thinking potted it sometimes. Thanks mate!

    Thank you look forward to trying this. I tried your laser idea today ( as it arrived in the mail ) hmmm can't say had to much success works good for straight in or slight angle not to good for others. I watched your other videos you recommended over a few times to use in conjunction with laser still no improvement. Would you mind doing a more in-depth version when time permits please.

  • @Breakfromlife

    @Breakfromlife

    4 жыл бұрын

    The big problem with it is you have to get the shot lined up right. I think the problem your having and why it works on straight shot is to do with what makes lining a shot up difficult. If it’s at an angle and you are aiming straight in line with the pocket (I’m guessing everything misses too straight) it won’t be the correct angle. I think this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZoCe1rZuZ8axZto.html Explains what you need to do. If you point the laser to where I say you need to aim your cue in the video. And you ignore me going off on one a bit

    When a ball isn't tight on the rail, maybe a ball or so off the rail, I'm tending to cushion first (Like the shot place @7:48ish) so that the cue ball hits the object ball on the edge closest to the rail, although it is a little more difficult than cutting on the edge away from the rail the cue ball it will move the cue ball out into the table.

    strange you talk about using side I have been using the opposite side you use to make the cue ball spin when it contacts the object ball giving the effect of adding a tiny bit of spin on the object ball that helps the object ball drop in the pocket. the effect of this helps the object ball keep off the cushion a very tiny amount have you played with this idea?

  • @paulriggall8370

    @paulriggall8370

    Spin transfer is a contentious subject but absolutely side is transmitted - I've done this experiment so many times - with a striped ball you can see the effects - the closer you are = cue ball to object ball = more spin is transferred, the state of the balls will affect this as will the strength of shot. It's marginal but it is still spin transfer nonetheless.

    You do have to find a rhythm that works for you before playing a shot. Otherwise this can become a problem. Try to stay focused on how you have lined up the shot though. Because occasionally you can miss by thinking about your technique and ignoring the shot you are trying to play

    Hello guys, I wanted to ask you for advice. I have been playin in my youth for 3 years and took a 8 years break, starting to play again in March 2019. I’m really struggling cause of inconsistency. There are days, where I can make low breaks ( 20 - 40 ) consistently and on others I can’t even produce 4 balls in a row. My Problem is that I can’t make out the difference that’s causing the problem. Is it just a mental thing or a lack of training? FYI I’m training on my own in the local club 4 to 6 days a week and I’m practicing 1 -2 hours before starting to play against others. I would be glad getting some advice. Greetings from Germany

  • @Breakfromlife

    A lot of the time it is just that some days you are left slightly better chances than other. As well as it doesn’t take much for things to go wrong. Everyone struggles with this a little bit and a lot of the time it’s because you are worried about how you are playing. Will you be able to play some shots rather than actually being concerned about the game. This small difference can mean your not seeing what you need to do next clearly enough. With the possibility that your questioning every shot you have to play in a can I play it kind of way

    Thanks for the fast response!! You are actually 100% on point, I do think a lot about my daily form. Therefore I’m maybe struggling on shots that I usually make. If I can’t make the first few easy ones, I might start overthinking every other situation too much, which leads me to even more struggle on easier shots afterwards. Thank you so much for the help!! I really love ❤️ your videos, very good, clearly structured information provided in every single one of them ! Almost like a snooker Wikipedia 👍👍 Greetings from Nuremberg in Germany.

Not sure how it got sitting but that might be a result of something in Finnish
