    Explaining that the ball cue would leave at 90 degrees from the impact point regardless of where it was before the shot and then deviate based on the spinning direction (or not spinning at all) it is priceless.     Yeah but with wide angles it doesn't. The object ball does spin. Which is why pro players will aim to miss on wide shots

    Loved this video. Loved loved loved the diagrams and visuals. The important elements--bridge, footing, elbow pendulum--were very well explained. I always think of where the balls need to "kiss"; never thought of the ghost ball position. Will try it next time I play. Watching this video makes me want to play! Or watch more videos.

    I've been playing pool on and off for as long as I remember being able to see above the table with my own eyes. I'm not any good I can say but I sure know the theory of the game pretty well.     Excellent! Well thought out and delivered tutorial. I've been playing both pool and snooker for over 40 years and you touched on each area critical to good beginner learning habits in a logical order. Knowing how to strike the ball does no good if you have an improper stance and poor stroke.

    Very good explanation... your preparation time shows. Only suggestion is to note APA, BCA, etc. have variations relating to choice of group in 8 ball, cueball placement following a scratch, etc. In other words, learn the specs for your league(s).

    As your right ear is controlled by the left hemisphere of your brain, and that hemisphere is responsible for logic, science and maths, then anything your left ear was hearing would be wasted information. You're welcome.

    hirshizer ...the flat plane geometry is encompassed in the larger framework of physics...so you're both right...the abstract geometry is carried out in the physical realm...there is much geometry involved but it is far from being just geometry...

    10 yrs later still a great video!!! I can't wait to apply the knowledge I just learned. I'll definitely be back for a refresher! I can't imagine why anyone thumbed this down

    I have seen many channels on pool but the explaination here is to the point. This ten minute video is more informative than others.👏👏👏
