My fiancé and I are wild snake trappers which basically means we spend the entire season cutting snakes out of pond netting. All netting is nothing more than a torture device for snakes. They get trapped in it and they roll to try to get free. It was a racer or black rat snake. Totally harmless. They eat fish and would have followed the scent of the fishing gear looking for food. You totally could have just held him in your hand and freed him. Even if he bit you it barley hurts. I’ll take a hundred snake bits over one bite from a hamster, rabbit, etc.

Someone gave me a hermit crab and then I went and got another because heard they need a friend. I had a temp cage for a couple months. I just got a 20 gallon long set up. and move them over and they both went under. My small one went under for a month in the temp cage and just came up. So strange that he would go under again after only being up for a week. I guess that's what they do. My second one is middle to large and He never been under so I am happy he finally gets to go under. I am only using eco earth but that seems to make them look dirty any tips?
