Snake Island Survival Adventure - Day 2: The Search for Water
After a restless night being bitten by no-see-um bugs I continue hiking towards the northwest point of Flamenco Peninsula as I search for water along the way but the search becomes desperate as the sources I had counted on turn up dry.

It's amazing what kinds of treasures you can find washed up on beaches amoungst all of the rubbish. I'm not surprised that that bottle of water was too contaminated by the plastic. If you leave one on the dashboard of your car in the sun for a day it tastes like poison when you go to drink it.

Within this video the sandy beaches are so beautiful there is a great angle that was captured. However to me it seems like this is a video that almost reminds me of the show Lost. He does show a lot of great ideas on how to survive in nature with not being able to have all the ability you do at your home. The quality of the video was absolutely amazing. The beginning of the video was cool almost something like Steve Irving would do. Breathtaking views I would have liked to see a lot more of the island. Think it could have been just a little more exciting with the views that was shown.I also think that the plane ride to the island also just wasn't visually or audibly appealing. The camera shook aggressively (understandable though), and the noise was off putting.I would still like to see more! I really do enjoy watching survivalist videos/shows.

Next time try to construct a desalination still, Or a solar still. Boil salt water and collect the steam. And you should probably smear mud all over yourself, to block the sun and help keep it from dehydrating you any further. Plus it'll help keep some of the bugs at bay!
@janbruhovsky7247
Жыл бұрын
I think constructing the thing at the time was not possible, since he had no time to even start a fire. Also, i don't really think it was a life or death scenario to take measures like covering himself in the mud. Survival is not always drastic situations where you kill an animal and sleep in it insides lol.

Great videos. Tip: On an island, while you find coconuts or a source of fresh water, take a spoon of seawater every half an hour and mix well with your saliva to isotonicity, regards.

@@ChadZuberAdventures You are welcome, I live in the tropic, and when very hot I use to drink 1/3 of a liter of isotonic water per day made with: 1/4 of seawater and 3/4 of spring water from the mountain, very refreshing and rich in the full mineral spectrum. With the cactus, you can take also 1 or 2 spoons of seawater, it helps you to best resist the heat, and have no cramps. Protect your head from the sun from the very first day, not doing that contributes to dehydration faster. If you get eggs, you can make a wonderful serum mixing raw eggs with 2-3 spoons of seawater and freshwater or coconut water. Your videos are very good, cheers!.

M D sometimes people just don’t THINK before they SPEAK, not everyone n the world knows that toxins from the plastic bottle will Leach into the water, it doesn’t even have to sit n the sun, it happens even when cold, the process just takes longer. But I have to ask, sense u called that girl a DA, who, apparently had no knowledge on it. What does it make u, who apparently does not know, everyone n the world...does not know...everything...n the world...do u know everything n the world, of course not, and not knowing something does not make one a dumb A,

Gotta get that water!
So fun fact water gets a plastic like smell from the plastic bottle actually going bad and slowly breaking down into the water... in small quantities plastic in water is not harmful but if it reeks of plastic then do not drink it because that means the bottle has been sitting there for a while with the same water in it and a large amount has mixed in with the water
I'm a boy scout this stuff is really interesting to me
I'm curious about how you make these videos. I mean how does it work? Place the camera, go to "bed", pretend to sleep for 10 sec, move the camera, go to bed, pretend to sleep for other 10 secs, move the camera, go to bed, pretend to sleep 10 seconds and wake up etc... or do you have a lot of cameras placed from different angles recording all the time?
