Snake Eats Bird
On my last paddle trip I witnessed a steppe rat snake (Elaphe dione) catch and devour a young sparrow right next to my tent. Fascinating and a bit scary (I moved my tent 20 meters after that). Later I found out this snake species is actually not venomous and quite harmless (August 2023, Kharaa river, Batsümber soum, Central Aimag, Mongolia).

Super Video! Wir haben auch zweimal eine gesehen. Eine hat den Fluss gequert und eine war neben dem Zelt am "Aussichtsfelsen" an der großen Schleife Eg - Tarbagatain. Aber bei weitem nicht so groß wie deine. Also dann bis später Gruß Roberto und Christine
