So the original version of this song is older then me but this version is younger than me.
I may have heard this in my formative years but the first time I actually remember hearing it was in the 90"s. Smokie remade a version of this with Roy Chubby Brown (if you're easily offended DO NOT look him up). It's a sad romantic tale of love from afar and that love buggering off and leaving. Only to discover someone else had the same feelings for the protagonist. So win-win then.

Thank you 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 it’s a Gretch steel snare and after trying a whole batch of different head combinations it’s sings best with the Remo control sound on top and an Evans 300 on the bottom with 30 strand Puresound wires.
Great drumming. Interesting song, never heard this one.

Thanks man 🤘🏼🤘🏼 it’s was really popular in the UK. The audience “participation” singing wasn’t on the original recording 😃. That was added way later, but as it’s the version I know better I had to add it to this 😂😂
