One of the best groups of the 70s, no doubt whatsoever about that .... this is a great song.
im 63 now grew up listening to smokie...still play their greatest hits ..they wer awesome...Chris Norman made them with his voice...thanks smokie for the memories
I went to see Smokey at Birmingham Town Hall in the 1970s. I walked past the cafe there and they were inside eating and drinking. I waved to them and they invited me in to have a drink with them. That was fun, having refreshments with them and talking about music. They were friendly, nice gents and put on a good show that evening. Long live the 70s!!!!!

Smokie was my most favorite band back in the 70s. I was still a kid and didn't understand most of the lyrics because I was still in middle school and was just learning English at the time, but I loved these guys, and had the walls in my room full of their posters. I also had a huge crush on Chris 😁

Мне 64 года и не стыжусь признаться слезы наворачиваются каждый раз, когда слушаю Smokies... Память о счастливых временах, беззаботной молодости, когда можно было убежать от Людмилы Зыкиной, Кобзона или Магомаева и послушать добрую, гениальную лирику, замечательную музыку, помечтать о том, чтобы хоть раз в жизни побывать на их концерте. Не довелось. Так жаль!

Absolutely timeless i have been brought up on Smokie. Saw them lots at Rumours night club in Blackpool. It’s like yesterday.
My mum died from covid 19 alone in Bradford, West Yorkshire in 2018, we were not allowed near her. Mum knew all the original band who are from Bradford and lived round the corner in Heaton and went to all the Bradford concerts, she later cared for ine of the bands mother in a care place in Bradford where she worked. So I share your love and pain listening to their songs. And to assure you they were the real deal, humble and genuine. Take care.

I put this post up on every 70’s tune I play on UTube Being born in the late fifties enabled me to witness the greatest nostalgic Time Machine ever, The 70's music era. You hear a song from the 70's and you remember where you were, who you was with and had no worries. A much better place to live back in the day.
This acoustic ballad was the band’s first big hit and first song to break onto the music charts. This is such a gorgeous song - the harmonies on the chorus are terrific.

Очень люблю эту группу. Это моя молодость. Сейчас на пенсии, но слушаю и мурашки по коже. Какой голос у Криса Нортона! Завораживает! На нашей эстраде я не могу назвать человека от которого бы шли мурашки. Просто до слез. У меня очень хороший музыкальный слух и вкус.

Смоки - во истину, народные артисты СССР. Здесь они были больше популярны, чем у себя на родине. Музыка детства и юности, нестареющая классика. Ностальгия.

Как я скучаю по тому времени но четно , когда деревья были большими а небо голубее ,на земле прыгали воробьи и. Жизнь была стабильной. Мальчики, носили брюки клеш,длинные волосы и бакенбарды, а девочки короткие юбки и платформы. Мода была на хиппи в 70 годах Просто романтика!!! Куда все это ушло? Хочу туда.....Тамара.
