I would choose EG. Also I do recommend you check out the battlefield smoke by sport smoke. Still 25.00 per smoke, but required minimal 4 pack. Although they burn a lot longer and put out more cubic ft of smoke. They do add shipping costs into the pack when you add it to cart. I believe it’s around 150 total.

Mil x would be cool to see. Haven’t ordered any myself yet. I believe it’s by phone and requires more hoops to purchase, but hadn’t looked into it much yet.

I use Enola Gaye and hands down much better

This video is enough for me to know to avoid IWA. If you, paid for your items with a CC I would dispute the charge to equal the amount of the single dud unit. That's ridiculous to force a customer to have to purchase more items just to be made whole.

@Civilian Warrior you should try the actual flashbag Taginn makes. The one you used on the previous video was one of their frag devices.

Pro tip for the Enola Gaye, shake em a bit once the fuse goes off. It will cause the chain reaction faster. you can also cause the chain reaction with a 2nd Enola Gaye if you happen to pull the entire fuse out when trying to light the first one. Lots of fun at airsoft events!

In my opinion even though the burn time was shorter on the EG, it appeared to have a better burn rate, which results in a denser cloud. That, is the whole point of a smoke, to mask movement, or mark a position etc. I agree with you on IWA, they should have eaten the costs and replaced the item at their cost. That would speak to customers as to what kind of company they are. However, duds are fact of life. Mr. Murphy is always watching and will intercede whenever possible, it is what it is. Over the course of my 22+ years on active duty I have, myself chucked several dud grenades' as well as smokes . Shit happens, grab another and let'r rip. Good content, you could trim the fat a bit on intros but I am not at work and have time to listen. BZ.

Thank you for your service! GoPro customer service it amazing, my camera was just hit by a ricochet. Went straight threw and completely destroyed the serial number. I sent GoPro a pic and are sending me a new one for $100 per their zero questions asked camera replacement warranty. Now that is amazing customer service!

I am not a service member, my only experience with war being airsoft or video games. But I would hate having a dud frag or smoke when I need it the most, IE under heavy fire. I get that its a fact of life, but this is what quality control is for.

I've been using Enola Gaye products for about a decade never had issues with them unlike some other brands, according to a buddy who does lots of cinematic pyrotechnics they're excellent value as well as being safe enough for airsoft and paintball when others about the same cost are banned

I agree with you on IWA. Enjoy being able to choose the amount I want to purchase. Not each paycheck can be used for a big bulk buy of a set qty. Also saw ansgear sells EGx smoke and changed it to where you had to buy set qty of 10.

Absolutely. I would purchase 2 of each in some cases just so I can test 1, then have the other as the actual use item.

I love my M14 smoke grenades!! They’re the best and I’ve tried them all!

Have you tried Tag Innovation grenades? I've not used their smokes but their bangs are excellent.

I agree with you, I would order more from IWA if you could mix things up and there wasn't a 3 minimum. I don't understand how their marketing team thinks this policy will make them more money?!?! Many times with products, I want to try something out to decide what I want a multitude of, rather than being stuck with something I don't need three of! Change this IWA! You'd get more business, regardless of what you think! IWA, you owe him a replacement, on your dime! On that note, I won't be using their products anymore if that's how they do business! I'll go out of my way to do business with a company that treats me right, but if not, I'm the type of person that is just done with said company!

Correct and yes they did refund me $35 for the device but nothing for shipping and they refused to just replace the one smoke device like I wanted.

Sure there are failures or duds in military exercises but it doesn't come out of the soldier's pay.

i've been happy with the EG

IWA has stupid shipping requirements (3 or more of the same products, no mix-matching), stupid shipping procedures (shipping lists of customer names/addresses to each buyer), and less dense, slower acting smoke... And thats if we ignore the dud (which, if you were on a hike and only had one with you for emergencies... You are screwed). I think you should try out the TAGinn smoke grenade (tag18), it supposedly burns from both ends to quickly create a really dense cloud. $128 for a 6-pack ($21.33 pre shipping) so it will be cheaper per unit than the IWA to boot, only a little more expensive than the Enola Gay

Nice to know who not to buy from if I ever need smoke.

From the drone view the IWA doesn't seem worth the expense.

Maybe it's the TECC/TCCC training but.... why would you be manually clamping an artery with your hand? If you're that far out you should have, at bare minimum, a TQ on hand and preferably an IFAK, just in case.

I have a lot of TQs but arteries aren't just in spots where you can apply a TQ. Like the inferior gluteal artery that runs up and over your left hip or the interior epigastric artery. Or along the neck. In the end TQs can also fail. Having smoke doesn't cost much, weights next to nothing and can't hurt to have for other unknown reasons we have failed to imagine

I bought one at a gun show that had an expiration date I was expired that burned for 5 minutes.. I paid like $20 for it long time ago like 10 or 15 years ago.. It was for a boat or a ship or something signaling device it would burn in water.. And it would get real hot I threw it in the wheelbarrow on the 4th of July.. I was so impressed with it I wish I would have bought more

From your videos you've spent a decent amount of money with IWA and potentially more. You'd think the company knowing this would just eat the $40 to send you a replacement unit. To potentially loose a customer that's already spending money over $40 isn't great business practice in my opinion.

anyone know what the life is on the EGs. when we use to train way back when i used regular fireworks stand bought smoke bombs, i would tape 2 or 3 together, put out lots of smoke and some flames, we had to be carful of the flames. the problem was they only lasted about a few years in a ammo box. about 1/2 would just flame with no smoke

When I order mine this payday I'm going to store them in mylar bags with oxygen abosorbers to keep out light, air and moisture. I do that with all my gas mask filters. It should significantly increase their lifespan.

They should do wholesale pricing if you have to buy three of each item there’s a couple places I order from that do the same thing for embroidered patches with a minimum of 100

Hey brother, props for calling out this careless company, I just wanted to let you know that if you are mentioning the city along with the first and last names of these people, any bad actor could now easily find their addresses. I don't see a situation where you would need to do this again, but if you did I would recommend just using the first name and the state. A lot of cities may officially only have low 10,000 of people, but even larger cities like Scottsdale are still small enough that if I have their name I could probably find this guy on Facebook by looking at my friends from ASU who airsoft in northern Phoenix / Scottsdale. Just remember that even though there might be thousands of people with the same name across the US, a state is roughly dividing that number by 50, but a city is diving that number by roughly 3100.

Iwa says 2 years from date on their sticker. Enola gaye doesn't have one. Going to do another comparison of enola gaye mil-x smoke to both of these. Should be uploaded within next two weeks

Between this video and the distraction grenade video I'm personally gonna avoid IWA as well, I do both airsoft and shooting, and although TAGinn is having a hard time right now ( Russian Company getting hit by the sanctions because of Ukraine war) Enola Gaye also makes an frag/sound grenade that emits a very loud bang ( IMO it's equivalent to the IWA grenade in terms of boom ) called the EG67 Great videos, you got a new subscriber in me, look forward to future videos

Thank you, much appreciated! I'll have to look up the EG you mentioned. I was able to speak with Taginn, they shut down all Russian plants and moved everything to Latvia. As of two weeks ago and per taginn, they were seeking US approval to export/import their products again to the US within two months.

And yeah the EG 67 is a good little grenade, be advised though it does not have a spoon so as soon as you pull the pin, toss it because it has a 3 second fuse

EG67s are super quiet, just had one go off 2 feet away from me yesterday and I was like, "Oh ok". Where as with Taggs, that shit has made me jump and actually reconsider some decisions haha. Tagg is probably the best one time use distraction device out there right now.

I agree with your sentiment regarding having to buy 3 of a kind, but I'd like to suggest you get an Oryan flare/smoke combo signal for REAL emergencies.

From the looks of it, the enoyla gay obviously worked better, because it actually worked….but i almost think you got more smoke out if the enoyla as well. To be fair, wind plays a big part of it, so it may just be that

Nope, but they did change their purchasing policy about a month after my video was uploaded. They could have at least left a comment on here but haven't

obviously iwa as a company are far from professional. plus they over charge for everything. 10% off is a slap to the face imo and there is absolutely no excuse for sending out personal info of other customers..

Their smoke and bangs are considered hazmat. Which kinda makes sense

I haven’t bought IWA for the minimum purchase requirements as well. I just get smokes from Evike cause they’re affordable and taginn products prices are a much easier pill to swallow… and they’re not cardboard.

Agreed, customer service comes into play when something goes wrong. Not when you place an order and get it on time. That's just them doing what they are supposed to do lol. GoPro customer service is amazing. I won't say what I did to my brand new camera but it was clearly my fault. I didn't think they would ever replace my camera for the $100 fee they usually charge. Well, they are replacing it for free! They didn't even ask me to pay for the shipping label for me to send the damaged camera to them or for the replacement. Now that is great customer service!

Crappy products, crappy customers service, asinine rules, and not even priced competitively is more than enough for me to never buy their stuff. Giving out my private info to random people without my consent would definitely end in a court case.
