I have explorer1, Tudor bb36 and everest so I think the most beautiful one is everest. I always find myself to wear it everyday. At leat when I am at home.

Nice watch, but difficult to get hold of and now completely sold out. Time Factors do not respond to questions whether these will come back in stock again. Arrogant lot, if you ask me.

Ive heard the different complaints about the customer service. I’ve had good experiences so far so nothing negative to say but yes the watches aren’t easy to get ahold of. They will be back on stock at some point though.

Thanks for checking the PRS25 on a timegraph. I have collection of PRS25's. So you're not alone in recognizing these a good value for money pieces with some provenance.

Appreciate the comment man. And yes I’ve had a few in hand now and they all perform brilliantly. I’m curious what the procedure is of terms of regulation on these. I guess they are all checked and regulated before being put into the watches. Really great.

A bit long review of a great looking watch. Nice bonus is the TimeGrapher. Next time, put the crown against the horn. More accurate readings, less chances of scratching the watch and second and third position are the positions the watch is worn. (Crown down) or do you wear rhe watch on your right arm? Amplitude is a bit low and the specs of the Miyota is -10/+30 sec. a day.

I love this watch, specifically because I absolutely love the old smiths logo, I also prefer this dial design to the explorer. The thing is with homages is at the end of the day if you like rolex and not looking to spend £7k on watch they are a great option. You could also buy a replica if really wanted the rolex look. People seem to have a real issue with reps in the watch community but at the end of the day if you never planned to spend thousands on a Rolex anyway, don't see how is it any different to buying a homage except slight variations in design and the rolex logos are added to the rep. Also there are some incredibly well built reps. Also many people aren't familiar with the huge amount of watches out there, may not have even known what a rolex explorer looked like.

The lug width is too wide.

A time piece must first tell the time, otherwise it is by definition not fit for purpose. My current daily wear is around 7 seconds out per month, i.e. far superior as a time keeper than a so-called superlative rolex and yet I find those 7 seconds of inacuracy to be irritating. My watch cost me the same price as a Smiths Everest. Furthermore what's the point of a perpetual [automatic] watch that's likely to be around half an hour out in a month if left to it's own devices. A self wind of that level of inaccuracy would make far more sense so that one would wind it and reset it to be accurate every day and it would then be more slender and therefore more comfortable. Once upon a time accuracy was the highest goal, today we're OK with inaccuracy, perhaps that's why the world is falling apart. It should bother us a great deal that our watches can't tell the time, especially when the technology exists for your current Smiths watch at its current price to be far more accurate. I'd like a Smiths Commando, but what's the point when it can't tell the time. Perhaps Smiths will offer a quality quartz movement one day and I'll add a quartz commando to my collection, ...I do like the style. ;-)

More or less I have the same opinion however I bought tudor black bay 36mm and its accuracy is 14s per day. I will immediately sell it. My op36 and omega moonwatch accuracy are excellent.

In the distant past I bought an ebel 1911 chronograph [primero movement, lovely shape of the back, a nice vintage aesthetic, about as bad at telling time as your tudor, it lives at the back of my safe for purely sentimental reasons] and a Blancpain 2100 chronograph that was also not very good at telling time and like you I had the good sense to sell quite quickly. Bought both of those watches new. ...£5-10k per watch on watches that are that inaccurate? They should be ashamed of themselves. I shall be counting on advertised accuracy and returning anything that doesn't live up to spec in the future. This is why I do sympathize with mechanical watch lovers. I learned, or perhaps matured to appreciate simpler movements, as it seems those complications were always the first to develop faults, I learned to value comfort [the one job that my shark skin deployment strap, lovely sculpted back ebel actually does well] and I learned to value accuracy. It will be a Grand Seiko boutique when I next feel the itch. If they dare to produce a gold star quartz [+/- 5 seconds per year accuracy] in one of their lovely 37.5mm GS44 cases with a black dial, my goose will be cooked. Good for you for selling that black bay.

Accuracy is important. However, mechanical watches are really using ancient outdated technology. Now, they are rather time pieces or jewelleries.. it is not that the world is upside down but now, the world has move forward and we have smart watches.. so, we should manage our expectations on mechanical nostalgic timepieces and just enjoy them appropriately

I mean it's still a Smiths, so there is enough Rolex Explorer related heritage to talk about. I think the Smiths is a beautiful conversational piece if framed properly. If you don't want negativity, you should just take the initiative and educate your collocutor on the brand and the history!

There is zero connection between the original Smiths Watch Co, and this watch. So no brand history, that died long ago. This an inexpensive Chinese commissioned watch from an individual in the UK who operates out of a small unit in his garden and cleverly took the opportunity to use a defunct brand name and apply clever marketing. It is no better nor worse than all the other homage watches.

@@peterball6097 this watch has anti magnetism which 99% of watches at that price point doesnt have. That individual who gives such value add to his product should be applauded.

I think the San Martin V3 is the Very best one . Better then this one.

Lots of jiggling in hand, sound level is low, narration sounds tired - felt like this was delaying your bedtime,..

Lol yeah I can’t proclaim to be the best talker but some have said it helped them with deciding if it’s for them so as long as it was useful to a few I’m ok with that. Cheers for the feedback though
