First off, your smile is beautiful and this video is well explained and anyone who is thinking of doing clear braces should watch this video! I love how you put it about Smile Direct Club at the end that it might work for minor issue case. (not dissing hard lol but I heard about all the "BAD" you experienced. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in my opinion.) I started my Invisalign back in June 2021. Initially my treatment was with 24 trays and additional 13 trays to correct/achieve the best smile. I have 6 trays to go and I can't wait to be done but I agree with your experience about the Invisalign from the last video to this video. It is an investment for sure and I'm super happy that I did it. I look forward to your next video!

Great video! Also I’m glad that you made the correction in the comment about your bad experience with Invisalign when you actually meant SDC. I also did SDC and it was a waste of money and it didn’t help my case. I’m now on Week 4 with Invisalign and I don’t even feel any pain with these.

Have SDC, only had minor issues, since I had braces when I was younger and didn't wear my retainer. Was given a Quote for 4k from my dentists for very minor moving. Went with SDC since it all came out to less than 2k. Never experienced any cutting or edging, but keep in mind I had healthy gums and teeth going in. Ive always felt that if you have serious dental crowding, you should skip clear aligners all together and just go for traditional braces.

Thanks for this - I'm in the same position as you and have been quoted 4k for minor movement and 1500 for SDC. Seeing these horror stories is so off-putting!

The thing no one is talking about is, your case was too severe for sdc, fine. Yet none of the dental team members including your "supervising dentist" could tell you that you may not be a candidate. That is what is so shady about them!

So, I have opted for Smile Direct Club, I am 2 months into my 4 month treatment, I've been wearing my aligners 22.5 hours a day, brushing my teeth 3 times daily, and keeping my aligners clean using retainer cleaning tablets. I do have some ulcers from the plastic rubbing on my gum, even after me filing the aligners down, but Anbesol has been helping with the ulcer pain. I have already seen a difference in my teeth, but that being said, I only have slight overlapping of my upper front teeth and my teeth are healthy. So, i would say, only consider Smile Direct Club if you have minor overcrowding/gaps and your teeth and gums are generally healthy.

1 month left of SDC before I switch to the retainers! So great so far!

Issues like this is SDC changed their description a while back now saying if you have crowded teeth or more complicated teeth you should seen an orthodontist instead. SDC should have never agreed to treat you on the first place knowing how your teeth was and knowing you won’t be seeing a dentist regularly. It’s really bad practice and comes across are money grabbing scam.

thanks for sharing your experience. i'm an invisalign user for about 8 months now nearing the end of treatment (at my 37th/38th tray of 40, teeth straightened, got a new scan for new aligners for refinement for additional trays, to correct my overbite more/maximize results), and i'd definitely recommend it to anyone. i feel as if in office appointments are important and they helped me understand what was going on, under the supervision of professionals. that is something i'm unsure about with smile direct club, no communication with the customer. that was extremely scary how your tooth was beginning to die but i'm glad that you escalated the problem with a dentist and saved it. i agree with everything you said about the movements with invisalign, slight gradual pushes weekly for consistent results compared to drastic, painful movements. i now know a repercussion of too much pressure because of this video. your smile is very beautiful by the way and it definitely changes your appearance for better.

Absolutely! Having a dentist to talk to during my appointments made me really comfortable about the overall process. They took the time to explain to me the difference between INV and other cheaper treatments, and it made all the difference for me! I'm about 25% through Smile Direct Club. I can say that the pain is significant the first few days with each tray and that I do have to file down the edges as well. I can see some changes, so I am hopeful that this will work. I haven't had any major issue, but I have several more aligners ahead of me, so its possible.

Invisalign I had 2 consultations which included removing 2 teeth to create the space for them to move or shaving teeth down a safe amount to create the space

Thank you sooooo MUCH I just started SDC and this PAIN is crazy I have large gaps that they say will be fixed in 5 months 😄. I told them I need the other plan this can take a year because I CAN NOT take the pain. After watching your video I believe I will be sending them back. I understand... it's not easy. to be honest SDC is GOOD for minor issues - so if it's the case speak about this option with your dentist.

I tried SDC. I only have minor gaps. SDC hurt so bad I decided to send them back right away. It took me over a year to even consider Invisalign, because I thought it would be as painful. Finally I went for an Invisalign consult and I am so glad I did. I only had some pain on my first set of Invisalign, now it’s easy peasy. I would definitely avoid SDC!

For Smile Direct, did you go to get a 3D scan or the home impression?

I went with smile direct. 3rd tray in one of my front teeth chipped whilst I was removing the tray. I stopped treatment and got a full refund.

I just paid for Invisalign and did my scans, can't wait to get my trays! They estimated 14 months. I'm so stoked. Watched all your videos and love the production of them. You'll be a great content creator!

@@grv1875 @Trust Me it’s going really great! I’m so glad I went with Invisalign. It’s likely it’ll drag longer just like Trust Me said but it’s under the care of a orthodontist and it’s really comforting that I get that supervision every 6 months. They can really make tweaks that’s needed and if it needs to be longer they got you.

Tbh, smile direct club is a shady business. No transparency with the customer, lack of information on the heath of the teeth and gums and the trays are not even accurate. I’m not an expert on this, but it’s best to consult with an orthodontist who knows their stuff. They will take accurate impressions of your teeth and x-rays to see a more detailed view of your roots and identify whether you have signs of decay, cavities, bone loss or gum disease before starting the treatment. This is so that they can then apply a certain amount of pressure and force to your teeth without causing damage to your gums.

@@Edd03 OP is saying SDC does not have a comprehensive review about your teeth as if you were to do it with a professional. Yeah so yours was fine because of just gaps, but other people may have tooth/teeth decay and other major complications that SMC could not advise, and this is why Invisalign is much better and costs more; the expert’s opinion.

can you talk about why your treatment went from 8 months to 1.5 years with Invisalign? I'm in my 28th week using Invisalign and I'm worried this could happen to me as well (my treatment is supposed to last 35 weeks)

I’m on my 35th and last tray of Invisalign I have had them for 9 months and this I still think I need refinement as I’m not happy with one tooth I was told mine would possibly be up to 1 year or longer

How did you whiten your teeth

I’m waiting my Invisalign , and the order will be ready through 2-3 weeks as my dentist said.. my teeth aren’t so bad while my dentist said it will take 6 months to get back your front teeth and it’s enough. Additionally if it’s needed extra trays she will order after I completed first 6 month . 🙂we will se 😂😂cuz I got a lot of pain through this week I did almost 6 filling 😂😂and extremely painful . Let's see --- the Sahara Desert or Pismo Beach? A hurricane or a sunny day? Paying $6 a gallon for gas or $3.12? Invisalign or Smile Direct? Yep it is Invisalign. Also, some dentists/orthodontists charge different prices - I found a difference of $2500 with great monitoring and check-ups.

I just decided to get smile direct club and Uk 2023 is available to book an appointment with the office for free to take the measurements of your teeth and they didn’t use the old method and they use like Invisalign the scanner thing. I am so nervous and impatient to get my box at home. But I have just seen that a lot of people give bad review but because of measurements in the beginning that they didn’t on their own, but it is not my case. I hope everything will be okey!

Did you get a filling between your lower teeth yet? I have the same shape on my bottom teeth like yours. They're like inverted triangles so I have spaces in between that I don't really like. My dentist said nothing can be done with these 'black triangles' so I was wondering if you've got yours fixed yet?

Cant you pay your dentist to make those impressions, and then simply send that information to Smile Direct Club, that way you have accurate impressions without the cost

lol bro have you not read the news? SDC is shutting down after filing for bankruptcy. They literally have THOUSANDS of cases with people’s teeth having MAJOR problems after using their aligners. A simple Google search will show you the truth. I am not paid by, nor have I received my Invisilign treatment for free.
