Is INVISALIGN worth it? - MY REVIEW - everything you need to know

If you're wondering if INVISALIGN is worth it, this video is for you!
In this video I will give you my honest review and everything that comes with this INVISALIGN journey you're about to embark on.
For years I was EXTREMELY self-conscious about my teeth. I would notice people look at my mouth when I would speak with them and it would automatically make me feel self-conscious. I would not smile in pictures (even my wedding pictures) and I would restrain from smiling at people.
This feeling is awful and it needed to change.
I do not regret starting this treatment and as you can see from my before/after the change is just amazing! They are not perfect since I'm not done with my treatment and "shaping", but nonetheless they're wayyy better than they were.
I will make another video comparing Smile Direct Club VS Invisalign in case some of you might want to go the cheaper route... subscribe!

I’m on tray 20, but I’ll be doing Invisalign for 2 years. My teeth need some work. Consequently I have a ton of attachments on my teeth. It makes getting them off a challenge (and painful after a new set of trays!) It’s crazy to watch the folks with NO attachments just easily snap them in & out. Beware- if your teeth are really messed up, it won’t be that easy, because you’ll have attachments. But I’m hoping it’s worth it :)

Wow! Your teeth look amazing! They should pay you as what Invisalign does. I had them when I was 18 and I didn't really do the retainers properly, and now I'm in my 30s and my parents generously offered to pay for it again, so I just started it yesterday. It's super painful and I don't remember it being like this, but hearing your story eases my nerves.

Beautiful smile! I am on tray 2 right now. Most of my issues stem from all my top teeth moving off center over the last 30 years after having a molar removed as a teen, so I have a LOT of buttons, lol. I also have to use elastics to correct a slight overbite, those have been the most irritating things to get used to, along with constant dry mouth. I too was considering going the 'cheaper' at home route at first, glad I decided not to do that!

I am also about to have another orthodontic treatment. My problem is a dual bite, light overjet and very slight misalignment. I got my fixed braces off in January 2015 after having them for 16 months. My orthodontist never fixed my bite, I only achieved slight alignment, got both fixed retainers and removable plastic retainers at the end of treatment. My fixed braces I took off myself after 2 years because I was fed up with them and havent worn plastic once since. No relapse AT ALL. I know and I am sure of that why I havent relapsed. In 2007/2 in total I wore myofunctional, invented in Australia trainers for about 8 months. These functional appliance moved my bottom arch forward and expanded my arches, fixed my muscle, tongue position, profile... after many years of being alergic (hayfewer), sleepig with an open mouth and so on... That is the reason I havent relapsed however... It caused so called "dual bite" which means 95 percent of people wouldnt see my malocclusion, my bite from the front, profile look ok. When I move my lower jaw to the previous position I get tensions in my musles, my tongue doesnt have enough space to rest on ma palate...but..it causes so called "open posterior bite" as premolars and molars don't contact... My case would never be suitable for either 6 month smile, invisalign express, i7, invisalign lite perhaps. i am planning to get Fast braces instead as it feels more confident that I will achieve maximum correction of bite, alignent with turning a couple of my teeth by angle up to 45 degrees... I will try to persuade my orthodontist to attach brackets to 14 teeth in each arch in order to achieve it as my lower molars were pushed by wisdom teeth and are tilted inwards, towards my tongue, one premolar needs turning by 45 degrees, one canine needs about 20 degrees turning as one of incisors needs turning, all frnt teeth have to pushed towards tongue by remaining 3-4 mm to fix dual bite so i will have only one bite... I am in middle thirties I am not bothered to wear brackets again even in this age. I would be probably more conscious about it if I was a teenager but I do not care in my age ;) By the way how much were you charged for your comprehensive, full invisalign option? Correct bite, not just alignment is very important to avoid problems with joints in future, it provides longevity to your teeth, prevents enamel grinding. When we age, enamel becomes thinner it affects shade of teeth as dentine (the inner layer of tooth becomes thicker0 therefore teeth are getting weaker and with a bad/incorrect bite dentition is more likely to chip/crack or grind (incisal edges, posterior teeth cusps)... I compared prices in Scotland, Edinburgh in many practices and have found best options: Fast Braces £ 3.5k, Invisalign full £ 3.7k to 4k or even 4.5k to 5.5k in the same city (unlimited number of refinements, trays)... Lingual , incognito full (attached to 12-14 teeth in each arch) starts at £ 4400 per arch up to £ 6000 per arch.. Just cosmetic to straighten 6 top and botto teeth would cost 1800 for both arches but it doesnt fix bite- its an equivalent to six month smile or invisalign express. Not worth it There's payment options: in full, in instalments paying 50 percent of price then monthly without interest or involving finance company no deposit at. APR 9% annually spred up to 3-4 years. ..

Thank you for your video. I am on tray 20. I had an underbite, so the Invisalign is also adjusting my jaw, without having to break it, which was my other option. I see that my bottom teeth are moving back. It is amazing! I love that I am not on my own and have a dentist monitoring my progress, while I am disciplined enough to keep them in for 21+ hours a day and change them every 10 days as prescribed, I'm not thinking the Smile Direct option would have worked for me. I find out tomorrow how I am doing and I'm certain I will get several more trays. HA! But, that's ok, I've made the investment, now I just need to stick the landing. Again, thank you for your video. I’m in my 60’s and and lost an upper tooth. My dentist talked to me about 3 options…implant, bridge or do invisalign or braces to correct my crowded/crooked teeth and an overbite problem that has been affecting my teeth. I’ve initially thought implant (which I’ve had done to another tooth), but then I’m not correcting my bite issues. Your video has been very helpful! Everyone has told me absolutely don’t do braces.

I do not drink alcohol but the people that I know (friends) that used INV drink alcohol - they even smoke cigarets with the aligners. They said that we change them (aligners) so often that it doesn't matter. Now I don't suggest smoking with them but I'm sure that drinking alcohol with them is no problem.

man, I heard so many people saying it's easy to put on and easy to remove, I'm here almost crying every time I try to take them off.. I have attachments on almost every tooth and it feels like im pulling my teeth out every time I remove a tray. I'm not sure if I can continue with this. Quite disappointed as I've never heard anyone have this experience.

Keep it up! Every case is unique. I started yesterday on tray 1 and I feel tightness and discomfort to remove. I feel a constant pressure when I am wearing them and feel relief when I take them off to eat. Then after I eat, brush and floss and put them back on it’s another kind of relief, like a good one to feel the pressure again. Your discomfort means it’s working! My dentist told me that he noticed it was easier to put my top tray in staring at the right side first, meaning to try to align that top right corner first, then align the rest of the tray carefully on my top arch and then press down. It feels good when they pop into place once I’ve aligned and I put the pressure for them to go down. On the bottom tray he told me to start on the left side, doing the same process as described above, meaning align that corner first then with my hand maneuver the tray to fit over my bottom arch correctly then put the pressure to make it secure in place. I’m glad he told me that because I would’ve tried to put it like they show in the video, placing it from the center and that wouldn’t have worked for me. In the videos people seem to put them in straight in the center but every case is different and that was not how I put mine in. I would call your dentist/orthodontist who is your Invisalign expert and explain your issue. He/she will be able to help. Don’t give up! You’ve come this far!🌷

for me depends on what teeth are moving in the tray for the week.. one week it may be a 3/10 on pressure/tightness - then the week that its moving my problem tooth it feels like a 7/10.. but thats only taking them in and out because its tender.. after like 3 days its not so bad removing and putting in. just i have to make plans for some good grub towards the end of the week where my teeth aren’t so sore so i can enjoy my food. overall im trusting the process and keeping these bad boys in for about 22hours.

my insurance covered 1/2 the total treatment cost, not including the $250 out of pocket for my dentist to scan my teeth and map out things with the aligners company. i paid $1000 for the down payment & will then pay approximately $120/mo. for the next 5 months. so kinda 😊
