This made the digitakt such a beauty. I used to slice samples and trigger the slices with the digitakt over Midi while recording it in on the digitakt. That is no longer needed. Although I did like the process as a meditative action that involves you much closer to the material. Also the line in recording just gives that extra. Anyway, still happy and it made me move to loopcloud right away. And again, that jam ❤. Love it. Thanks!

Thanks for the video! So fun to play with Loopcloud+ Digitakt. I'm new to both, so knowing this tip about pitching up +12 and doubling your tempo to save space on the Digitakt is a HUGE tip and isn't really covered anywhere else. I wish I could upvote more than once!

Also... I could only get this to work by using USB CFG : USB AUDIO/MIDI, and turning Overbridge OFF the Digitakt. Maybe from a recent software update?

It was widely covered. It's not a Digtakt trick per se, it's a method from hip hop production that dates back to early samplers with very small sample time, and in part explains the sound of tracks made with them.

I have got to check it out. Seems crazy how much more flexible loopcloud is with the Takt beyond Elektron’s own transfer software.

I cant wait to learn more about this world and having been recently diagnosed with ADHD its been profoundly explained that I need to either create or self destruct. I decided to set my sails in this realm. As of last year I literally had no idea this entire world had emerged to such an expanse. Luv your balance of humor and brilliance.. If you or anyone can offer me any sort of advice in hindsight to help me get through basecamp and survive the ascent. This is pretty great actually, makes me want to give it a try. I underutilize my Digitakt in my DT+Syntakt+Minifreak combo and I feel like this would make me find much more interesting samples and makes it a lot less painful to deal with. As you say though, unfortunate its locked behind a subscription (like we don't have enough of those already!) +Great jam!

I do not own a hardware sampler but I love loopcloud, the only sample library I use. The integration into the elektron is pretty cool

This video did not just inspire me to get Loopcloud, but it even made me go out and buy a Digitakt. I am now just trying to figure out how to get that 2 free months from Loopcloud.

The reason I switched from a DAW/computer to hardware (ie. the digitakt) was to step away from the limitless possibilities that stopped me from actually making music. I wanted constraints. I won't use a feature like this because I want to embrace the constraints of the machine while pushing myself deeper creatively. I'm not saying this is a bad feature to have, it's just something I was thinking about.

What about licensing ? The problem of loopcloud that almost every sample pack has a complicated licence that you always need to consider when you making a release after that, playing around in your bedroom with digi is cool of course, but to make real product after that could be complicated. If somebody knows more about this topic would be very appreciated to hear the answer. Other then that Jeremy’s videos are always a gem here in KZread 🙏

Well if youre just using one shots it's no big deal. Also if it's a loop of some sort then just make sure you really mangle it. That's half the fun in using it with the digitakt anyway

The three elektron boxes are synced via the digitakt and then I'm using the MRCC to sync the rest.

My advice when searching for packs is to set Release Date > Oldest to Newest. The older packs are way better and from way better producers.

Can you make modern drum and bass on a digitakt? What can you do with Basslines that isn't basic? Any channels that have performed this at all?

Anyone knows if the tags in loopcloud are compatible with the tags in maschine/komplete/ableton 12? If they each use their file system, tagging becomes simply too much work. If they are compatible with each other that would be great.

I was following along nicely until you grabbed the Cuica sample from "Playbox 02". Is that on Loopcloud or is that a local sample library of yours? Is that sample available somewhere please so I can (try to) replicate your demo?

Most Loopcloud samples don't sound good at all imo. Dunno why but they really lack quality. I made a subscription and went through it when the feature with digitakt came up but I didn't find anything appealing. Plus, and this is very bolt and anoying: When you don't have an active subscription - you can't use that program! At all! Nothing! Not even the library and stuff you already bought and have on your PC. That is not cool! Can't recommend it at all

They’re actually low quality in the player. When you export them they get converted.

@@willsoul007 Hey Will the audio files are slightly compressed when previewing the sounds, this is to ensure you can preview the sounds without buffer time. The compression is very subtle so you shouldn't really be able to tell. :)
