Im able to use mine but it takes so much energy and eye ache sampling and the process never feels complete as I keep wanting to add more. I guess I need the perfect sample selection for the styles I make and complete It. To be free and start making music with my new sounds. That’s why I prefer synths as they just have everything on there to design a sound. The a4 DN and MC are my favourites. Awaiting to get a ST too. When I’ve saved enough pennies haha. 😊

I stumbled upon this technique not too long ago and it works really well. I added trigs to every step but the difference was I reduced the track chance probability to add in the gaps. That way sometimes I got 16th notes, other times 8th or even quarter notes. Regarding setting the LFO depth, what helps me is using the square wave first which goes between the min and max and if I know what the min and max sound like it's easy to adjust it. Once set, then change to random waveform.

@@TriangleWaveRecords Well, I guess I have to spell out EXACTLY what I mean regarding a box making melodies, due to someone being a bit self-conscious, and perhaps unable to read between the line. You stated the idea of the Digitakt 'melody maker' being a 'magic box' -I highly disagree btw. My comment was towards all the tools such as AI VSTs, and now features like this on hardware. My comment was meant to say that I hope YOU can tell the difference between listening to a real musician, as opposed to someone who uses a host of AI tools -and weather or not you could call them a musician? In other words, will people be able know the difference between a human or AI based made piece of work. Furthermore, if people are using AI extensively, to make popular music, are they "musicians" -as I'm sure they will be calling themselves 'musicians'? If Ai keeps growing, we're all going to be asking ourselves the comment I wrote if AI based music becomes a norm in some music spheres.
