Slippery When Wet - Offroading Moab in the Rain
Have you ever driven Slickrock when it's really slick? On this adventure, we head out to Dome Plateau (a moderate trail outside of Moab) in the rain to see how far we could get. We were the only ones braving the jeep trail on this cold, late winter day. Rock crawling or offroad 4x4 travel in bad weather can be very risky, especially if you're traveling alone so we didn't want to push our limits. Thankfully, nothing bad happened (other than getting cold) and we had a fun time!

Thanks Eric - it's not quite as adventurous as on two wheels, but I appreciate being in a warm truck when it's raining!
You're braver than I am, I would have never even tried that in the rain. Smart to turn around. I camped at the lookout you were attempting to get to and it was epic!

Hi Noah! Yeah, we were already pushing the limits so it was the wise thing to do. Luckily we didn't get into too much clay but I think that happens later in the trail. The next day we did 7 Mile Rim which was very muddy and got scary in a couple spots... stay tuned!

We were out that day over on Onion Creek with a stock Rubicon and a CanAm SxS. The Wrangler with it's KO2's were absolutely caked in mud/clay. I really struggled in a lot of places, no traction and worse no control of my braking. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for watching! Yes, we were very fortunate that we didn't run into too much clay that day. The next day we did Seven Mile Rim (video still to come) and we were starting to get caked up pretty bad until we got on top of the plateau and got off the clay. It can get scary - glad you made it!
