OVERLANDING in a STORM || RAIN AND WIND STORM forced us to leave | BRONCO BADLANDS || Off The Grind
Overlanding in a storm can be fun, but not always the best idea. We tried to stick it out, but with the wind and rain getting worse and worse and with both of us having very new setups, (I am still building out my new Bronco Badlands) we did not have what we would like to have to be able to shelter us from the wind and rain.
We set out to explore the Southwest corner of Washington State as we really haven't heard much about the area. The Olympic Peninsula and the Cascade mountain range are always everyone's go to places for the Overlanding. But is that because there is nothing in the Southwest corner, or are there some undiscovered gems in this area. We didn't get to explore as much as we wanted, but there are certainly some promising areas that we were able to spot.

That puddle was deeper then I thought it would be! That exhaust sounded really good when you powered out of it. Excellent shots and I LOVE that you take the time (and cardio) to set up the cameras. It is really fun to actually see the Bronco run.

Haha yeah it was and a bit softer at the bottom then anticipated as well. But yeah the bronco sounds pretty damn good I’m not gonna lie lol! Thanks man, I’m glad you appreciate the effort that goes in to these. They’re are so much find but it is a bit of work for sure

I knew that was your Bronco I saw parked in front of the bakery. There aren’t many like it. I spotted the Land Cruiser as well. Not long ago there were a lot of really sketchy people camping at Snag Lake, so you got lucky. The weather got worse, and a lot of trees went down, so it was a good move to head out.

Haha yeah still kinda rare to see the broncos around. That bakery is so good! That’s good to know though. I’m glad we made the right decision. Wasn’t sure if the storm was blowing through early or if it was on schedule but going to be worse than expected so I’m glad we headed out.

@@OFFTHEGRIND yeah, it got pretty bad. We lost power for a day. The bakery is pretty awesome. The best donuts I’ve ever had. They open up at 0400, which is nice. When I was working, it was nice to be able to stop there to grab a treat if we were getting our rear ends handed to us all night.

I have been to Dylan's Cottage Bakery! Lol I was raised in Vancouver and we regularly would cross the border for overland adventures in Washington, with a few friends from there. We had breakfast at Dylan's on the last day of the last time in Washington! It was great and they definitely deserve the exposure here! I'm in Utah now for career reasons, for at least 2 years and it is beautiful here and a new type of overlanding adventure for me. I just discovered your channel so don't know if you have ever been here, but I call it Bronco country, because my new Wildtrak absolutely shines here, whether at high speeds, or rock crawling! I'm loving this Wildtrak and Utah! Another thumbs up and subscribed!

Lots of gates in the Long Beach area has been my experience. That said, we found some epic spots off the Donkey Creek Rd. Mark that area for future explorations
