Yep. Wasn't expecting the word 'metaphysical' in a Slipknot reaction. As well as speaking intelligently she gets it. Slipknot are sometimes best appreciated by feeling it rather than analysing it. Not that the lyrics don't have meaning but the first time you hear this song it's a lot to take in. She both got it and talked intelligently about what it might mean. YES! It was the first Slipknot song I heard, and was around the same age as well. That is exactly why I love reaction channels, you get a small part of that feeling of the first time you heard something.

The headbop, the stink face, the mouthing of lyrics, the clenched fists. It's all too relatable. She decoded more about the songs meaning in her first listen than I have in my entire life, and I've known this song since 9th grade... I'm 27 now.. “It’s like a rollercoaster” - Exactly! Sometimes when you really feel the music it can be a release for pent up frustration from work problems, money problems, life problems etc. Its like reconnecting to that primal energy that we all still have deep down, if that makes sense.

This was a truly epic reaction. So many reaction videos rarely appreciate the music and the lyrics. Lex's breakdown of the lyrics was really thoughtful and deep. I very much enjoy watching people from different cultures and walks in life react to other cultures, people who are rap fans listening to metal, metal heads reacting to hip hop, both listening to country, broadening horizons in music is beautiful because we need that variety.

The great thing about Slipknot is you can interpret their songs any way you want. I have listened to a song from them after a relationship ended and felt one way and later listened to that exact same song and was empowered by how I interpreted it at that point. A truly amazing band and loyal to their fans ( which are lovingly called Maggots BTW)
