It will never be like the original line up. But the others wouldn't let Slipknot become trash, they care about their fans and art to fill the spots and it not be great. They would've just stopped if they didn't feel the new lineup was worthy of display. But I may be bias because I grew up with their music like they were my big brothers. Lol

If you want a great example of how well rap and metal fit together, check out the Tech N9ne song, "Wither," that he had Corey Taylor (Lead singer of Slipknot) featured on. Shit was a banger, and it shows how well they blend.

These guys live are a treat. It's been awhile since I have been to one their shows, but the last one I went to my brother and I got to meet Corey and Sid and it was awesome. They sat and shot the shit with us for a few minutes before the show. Crowd participation means a lot to Slipknot. They want you engaged as possible. They did the "jump the fuck up" bit during "Surfacing" instead of this track when I seen them. You should definitely react to "Surfacing". It's a serious BANGER!!!

Download is a festival we have in the uk btw and this was their first time headlining, as well as the 10th aniversary of this song hence him switching out "where you gonna be in the next 5 years" for "ten years". The drummer Joey was such a total legend and all round super cool dude by all accounts. Not only one of the fastest drummers out there, but an amazing musician too. Rip 🖤🖤 Can't wait to see them at Download this year!!

Great reaction Knox! As always! Been subbed for a long time, but I rarely comment. I wanted to suggest a new band for your Metal Monday's. Maybe give the band Nightwish a try. The song is - Storytime live from Wacken 2013. It's a shorter song than the one folks usually suggest to start with. But they have a huge catalog, and are a supremely talented group of individuals. Nightwish is a Symphonic Metal band, with a female lead vocalist. Hopefully, you'll see this and give them a go! Hope you enjoy it if you do! Thanks for sharing your time, expertise, and thoughts with us on all of your musical journeys! It's most appreciated! Sending blessings and light to you & your family from me and my family in Alabama! Keep on rocking Knox🤘🏻😊

@@anttisaamanen2398 we think a lot alike lol! I strongly considered Song of Myself and Shoemaker, too hard for me to pick a favorite lol! But, I went with Storytime. My thinking was it's a bit easier as an introduction, as we all know how deep and emotional their songs can get! I feel the same way about GLS, I figured that the length might play a part, and if he likes Storytime, then move in for GLS! I'm really hoping he sees this! Hey Knox. Glad you gave this one a shot. The story behind it goes something like this. These guys are from Iowa, one of the major Rock/Metal radio stations had a DJ who refused to play their music and was quietly trying to blacklist them while they were on the local circuit. If I remember correctly, it got heated pretty heated behind the scenes. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but that's the base bones of it.
