I was at the very first Ozzfest 1999 where they made their large touring debut, and a lot of the crowds reaction was "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" and then the music started. History was made.

This version of the Wait and Bleed video is an alternative studio version, it is on the last tracks of the Slipknot 1999 album. The original version is Slipknot - Wait And Bleed (Audio) which has the album cover.

Corey met a homeless man in California I believe and the homeless man said to him you can't see California with Brandon Marlow eyes and Corey wrote a song about it. Corey talked about this in one of his interviews

Their shows are legendary bro, and hard AF. That said metal heads are the nicest people, and you will have a great time. I even took my son when he was 11 and he had a ton of fun and the band saw him in the crowd and sent him guitar pics etc. 10/10 recommended, I go every time they come to Texas 🤘

There are 3 drummers, Joey and 2 stand up percussionists. Check out "Surfacing" from the first album.

Joey was a mf legend he had a drumset bolted to the bottom of his pool and thsts how he got so fast and ontop of that when he plays his drums he hits the top snd bottom

This was the first song I ever heard by these guys. (When this was still new) still my favorite. You need to check out mudvayne soon. They’re similar, but cooler in my opinion. Check out a song called severed. Or any of them off of the album LD 50. Uncensored only. The videos will cut out like two minutes of their songs because they’re stupid.

If you like the drummer you should give a listen to Dead Memories / People = S#!^ / Spit it Out (the live version in 2009 is awesome). Joey Jordison (1995-2014) was the original drummer for Slipknot and one of it's founders, but he died in 2021. They change the drummer some years before his death (Jay Weinberg 2014-2023) and in 2024 they change again (Eloy Casagrande).

That's why Joey will always be the best drummer for Slipknot. Playing is one thing, but creating that drum sound is another level.
