@@Spookythereaper3 i think probably when we feel those negative emotions our minds are sorta giving too much signals and everything can feel kinda fast and agressive, so the music having such a fast tempo and few moments of silence probably "cancels" the thinking process by externalizing the feelings, leaving you kind of in a neutral state that we interpret as peacefull...hope ur doing great and remember "today u may take a beating, BUT you showed up for the fight..." NEVER stop fighting, bless you.

I honestly think this is an interesting song because it bounces back between self loathing and misanthropy so much that I feel what Slipknot is trying to say: ultimately humanity is effed up because everyone on an individual basis is screwed up to some degree, but all we do is criticize and demand unrealistic and unfair things out of each other which causes even more problems. If humans were more honest about their shittiness then maybe the world wouldn't be so bad off as it is.
